It was a great little piece. Would have loved to have seen it as a full length novel with full detail into multiple victims and a view her slow self made demise- having her crimes come to light, the hanging of her servant accomplices, and her eventual house arrest and death. I think the contrast between her being a loving and generous mother with her torturous crimes and satanic rituals would have really helped add depth to the story.... However as it was written to be a short story it was great.

... Errrr... Did I? I mean... I read it.. and I've been considering making a reading list of all sorts of short horror stories... I love one chapter horror pieces.... But so far I think the only list it's on is maaayyyybe my read list?.... If I overcome laziness and actually make a Short Horror Stories Reading List it will definitely be on it. A truly great piece.
