A SFWA and HWA member, I write fantasy, dark fantasy, science fiction, and a little steampunk. Although written with the adult reader in mind, all of my stories and artwork are Young Adult-friendly. (I'm also a member of SCBWI).

I'm author of Beneath Raven's wing (dark fantasty stories), Murder on Marawa Prime (science fiction), The Enchanted Dagger (YA epic fantasy novel), Owl Light (sf/f/ghost stories), The Greener Forest (fantasy stories), River of Stars (myth-based poetry), Essential Fables (myth-based poetry), Leprechaun Cake and Other Tales (children's), and other books.  My writing has been published in Canada, Australia, Japan, Italy, Spain, Finland, India, Pakistan, the UK, and USA. Over 1,000 of my illustrations have also been published.

I'm a clover-hand who's found so many 4-leafed cloves. I keep them in jars. I believe the world is filled with mystery, miracles, and magic -  and enjoy  celebrating the power of myth in my writing and art.

Currently, I'm senior editor for Pole to Pole Publishing. In that role, I've edited the Dark Story Series anthologies: Hides the Dark Tower, In a Cat's Eye, Dark Luminous Wings, and Not Far From Roswell - as well as the Re-Imagined Series anthologies: Re-Launch, Re-Quest, Re-Enchant, Re-Terrify, and Re-Haunt.
