I’m back

eternal_solace

hey. so. i have a bone to pick with you.

you dropped an absolute bomb in my notifs without any notice and i cannot thank you enough, it literally means the world to me that you read my somewhat poorly organised work.

i truly do appreciate it. to be honest, it was chance that you did this at a time where i'd been inactive here and lost a lot of my motivation, so seeing this kickstarted my year, got me off of my bum and i feel that urge, that weird little itch write again. so thank you.

I'll be sure to check out your work too, not as a favour or a return since i don't think i can put a value to the motivation you gave me, but because your bio really interested me. psychology is so, so cool. what's your favourite thing about the subject, if you don't mind me asking?

eternal_solace

@electricbones thank you so much for the recs! will definitely check them out as soon as i can, i appreciate it!

@eternal_solace ofc! and there’s a very popular book called “the body keeps the score” and it’s a heavy read, not very easy but it explains A LOT about the science behind trauma. there’s also a podcast called “trauma rewired” which is extremely informative!

@electricbones thank you so much! 2026 feels a lot more approachable when i can write, so i truly am grateful to you.

Also, woah, i don't know much about psychology in all honesty, but that sounds really interesting (maybe this is too much to ask, but i have been meaning to learn something myself about it, so would it be possible to give any book/lecture recs?). trauma is definitely a complex research area when it comes to the brain. reading this, it just clicked to me that then it would obviously affect the nervous system as a result, since they're connected. i don't know why that wasn't obvious to me before, haha. you learn something new everyday. i think it's really cool you're passionate about this, though. it also always strikes me when people say trauma has to be unlearned, like it's a habit of sorts(sorry if that came across wrong)? idkk but it's such an interesting field and i'm happy it can help people in a way. and no need to thank me for asking, it's cool! i hope you have a great day too! <3

Thank you so much that means the world to me to hear that. You’re also a really wonderful writer yourself! I don’t have any physical books published but I have plans to get LIG published after going through a whole edit and also going to work on a hybrid memoir/self-help book about recovering from relationship trauma! Those two I hope will be published physically in the next couple of years <3

Thank you so much for the follow! Means so much to me as someone who writes for fun. ♡♡♡ I also noticed you're into psychology, so am I! Not that I know much, and I don't really plan on making it a career, but I do find it extremely intriguing.
