I would say happy pride, but this year, things feel sad. Recent events will make this month bittersweet.
          
          We have pride in June only because of the Stonewall protests. The people a part of that riot are the very reason we have pride today. Key people from those protests were Black. Without the black community there is no pride. If you don't support Black lives you don't support LGBTQ+ lives.
          
          To all LGBTQ+ friends and followers, you are valid, you are loved. Celebrate your identity this month, but remember why you are still able to. Much love ❤️ ❤️ 

Words can't express how distraught and angry I am. I've been trying to come up with the right words to say, but nothing can express the horrors that have become a reality. But I won't be silenced. George Floyd was an innocent man murdered by Derek Chauvin. A man who took an oath to protect people, but he was the reason someone's life was taken.
          
          George Floyd was 46 and still had his life ahead of him. Derek walked free before being arrested I can't begin to imagine the amount of pain and anguish his family is suffering through. There is no freedom until we are equal. The colour of your skin is not ment to be your death sentence.
          
          Being silent means you take the side of the oppressor. Speak up, say their names.
