I'm a bit too involved with the music and movies of the 1920s-80s, but for good reason! You can commonly find me here, swooning over a Beatle or two. But when I'm not online, my free time is dedicated mostly to reading, practicing the guitar and string bass, and struggling to draw ampersands.

I really, really love classic movies and television! Especially those concerning Fred Astaire, James Stewart, Buster Keaton, Ginger Rogers, Dick Van Dyke, Judy Garland, Donald O'Connor, Irene Dunne, Jeanette MacDonald, Maurice Chevalier, Robert Taylor, Dana Andrews, Carole Lombard, William Powell, Myrna Loy, Andy Griffith, Maureen O'Hara, Mary Pickford, Charlie Chaplin, Rudolph Valentino, Janet Gaynor and Charles Farrell... And so on.

Musician-wise, that's another list that could go on for a while! But if had to pick favorites, I suppose it'd be them:
The Beatles, The Everly Brothers, Bobby Darin, Buddy Holly, The Hollies, Fred Astaire, Glenn Miller, Dean Martin, Paul Simon, Simon & Garfunkel, The Kinks, The Mamas and the Papas, Herman's Hermits, Gerry and the Pacemakers, Paul Anka, The Beach Boys, Dion, Jim Croce, America, Gordon Lightfoot, Chuck Berry, John Denver, Glen Campbell, Patsy Cline, Édith Piaf, Charles Trenet, Brenda Lee, Eddie Cochran, The Lovin' Spoonful, The Seekers, Sam Cooke, Charles "Buddy" Rogers, and The Monkees.
And these are only my favorites.
Just you wait!

I also like trying to learn languages (with little success, but it's still fun). I'm mostly studying Spanish and Latin, but I have looked a bit at Italian, German, and Polish as well. I love hockey, history, and anything Lewis or Tolkien.

Come and find me on my other sites!
