My Writing Journey
I was around 11 or 12 when I started writing stories. It began when I found an unfinished story in my cousin's girlfriend's notebook. I continued it and gave it an ending, and that small act inspired me to write my own.
I eventually filled an entire notebook with stories, though none of them were saved. My classmates became my first readers. Some criticized my grammar, which made sense. I was still in elementary school.
I stopped writing for a while, but my love for pocketbooks never faded. I grew up reading works by Aira Ledesma and Martha Cecilia and was obsessed with the Sweet Valley High series. As I grew older, my taste expanded, and I became especially drawn to the dark romance genre.
In 2013, I discovered Wattpad through Opera Mini. The first stories I read were by Kuya Soju, HaveYouSeenThisGirl, and Jamillefumah. I was also a huge KathNiel fan, so NerdyIrel quickly became a favorite.
By 2015, I started writing again and completed four one-shots by 2016. I joined a Facebook writers' group and collaborated on a mystery-thriller story titled Section AB's Blood Party.
Then life happened. Work, problems, everything.
When things became too heavy, I returned to writing. It kept my mind busy, kept me sane, and helped me avoid choices I might have regretted.
