I first started writing fanfics when I was about 12/13 years old. At the time I didn't know that's what they were or even that it was a thing, I just used to form a deep connection with the characters and stories (mostly from games, mostly from final fantasy lol) and I couldn't help  but want to embellish upon their stories. Changing it up a bit, adding to it, creating those romances I'd wished had happened. It was a personal thing, something I did for my own enjoyment. I never imagined sharing them with anyone, I didn't think anyone else would understand. The older I got I ended up finding out about fanfics and realising I wasn't the only one, I was so happy to read others stories too. They fuelled me with more ideas and more confidence, I wanted to share my stories. Testing the waters I shared a snippet of one of my stories, the site wasn't too busy but what feedback I did get was positive. I still wanted to share my stories but I didn't feel the particular site was the right choice, I didn't really know where to turn. I wish I could remember how but not so long ago I at last discovered Wattpad, finally the right home to enjoy both writing and reading and so has begun a wonderful new journey.
