"Avada kedavra!"

"Watch out!" Y/N's voice rang out.

Y/N quickly shoved Cedric out of the way.

Her eyes grew wide as she felt the force of the third unforgivable curse hit her chest.

She had told her she would be back.
And here she was.

Rosalie's harsh voice shrieked in delight as Y/N's body came crashing in contact with the hard floor.

Y/N felt a little dizzy and lightweight.

Cedric's voice cried out in agony.

He tried to come rushing at Rosalie, but Cho had come in and pushed him away.

Cedric crawled over to Y/N's limp body.

"Goldie?.. Wake up please.. Darling, you can't leave me yet.."

Y/N felt tears fall as Cedric begged for her to come back.

But she couldn't.

No matter how much she struggled and cried in misery, she couldn't wake up.

Y/N watched as she walked over to him.

He was sobbing, his heart, torn in pieces.
Scattered away, somewhere he couldn't ever reach.
Until his lifetime passes.

But, Y/N watched as she took his hands in hers.
As she comforted him.

Tears flowed along her soft cheeks,
as she smiled.

It was bittersweet.

As Y/N stood there, watching over them,
the surrounding people rushed around in a blur as hues of red and green flashed.

Y/N watched as Cho comforted Cedric as they looked down at Y/N's limp body.

"You said we were forever!"
He cried out.

A pang of hurt and guilt throbbed in Y/N's chest.

Tears fell down her face as Y/N recounted her promise to him.

But promises that can't be kept, 
are most likely empty words.

Cho shushed him soothingly as light tears strolled down her gentle face.

Y/N crouched in front of Cedric.

She reached her hand out and caressed his face, trying to wipe his tears.

"I'm right here, silly. I'd never leave you."
Her voice croaked.

Her fingers went right through his tears.

Of course. Her time alive was gone.

If only she had spent her moments with him fulfillingly.

"I'll wait for you, Ced."

She turned and smiled at Cho.
"Take care of him for me."

It hurt her heart and soul to be left alone.
But Cedric had so much more to live for.

So Y/N would wait.
She would wait as Cedric and Cho cried in each other's embrace.

Y/N smiled sadly. She felt herself slowly fading away to particles.

And her last memory flashed brightly.

Cedric and her.
In her embrace.

And Y/N was sorry.
She was sorry that she couldn't be the one with him.
She was sorry that she wasn't the one comforting him.

She was sorry that she wasn't her.

But perhaps he was never hers to begin with.
