-it's my Clone wars AU where our favourite clones (including domino squad and boil and waxer and Vaughn and fives) survive the entire war and now they age normally-
The war had just ended. Dooku and Grievous have been killed and the Chancellor was found guilty of manipulating and orchestrating both the Separatist army and the Republic. Anakin and Obi-wan and the rest of the Jedi managed to defend the last of the Republic planets. Most importantly, the clones were free of their inhibitor chips. Saving them and the Jedi from what would have been a disastrous fate.
They were also given an ageing serum that would stop their accelerated growth allowing them to age normally, and, the clones finally got their rights to live as people and not as numbers and finally got the recognition they deserved as heroes of the Republic. They were even given the opportunity to retire and live as a civilian if they wanted to.
It was the day before the eve of Coruscant Day. Ahsoka, Anakin and the 501st lay haphazardly across the barracks.
"Hmm.." Reetha groaned and buried her face deeper into her pillow."Reetha, wake up. Awakey wakey!"
Grumbling under her breath, she pushed of the weight of the person leaning over her.
"Fives, leave the kid alone." an annoyed and sleepy voice spoke. "Kriff knows that she's not a morning person, plus she slept very late last night and we don't want a grogy, half-dead zombie Jedi stalking the barracks."
Fives tried his luck to wake up Reetha, but sighed in defeat when she asked to sleep for another ten minutes.
---- Three hours later ----
Anakin strolled into the barrack with a trays of food, mostly junk food. "Lunch is up fellars."
Happy voices filled the barracks as the clones passed the tray around since no one wanted to leave their beds and walk to get food, other than needing to leave it to go to the toilet or bathe.
"You guys are really taking this lazy holiday seriously." Anakin mused, taking a seat beside Rex.
Ahsoka shrugged. "It's the end of the war, master. We deserve this break and I want to spend it lazing around since I never had a chance to laze around." Then she flopped down on the bed.
"I second that sir! Being lazy is my new hobby."
"Hardcase, I told you already. Just call me Anakin."
Hardcase laughed. "Sorry. Force of habit. Anyways, like Soka said, we never had the chance to laze around so forgive me for going all out."
Anakin shook his head amused.
"So, we're planning anything today?" Rex asked while he shuffled a deck of Sabback cards and handing them out to Anakin.
Reetha hummed. "Besides lounging in the barracks? I have no idea. Echo?"
"Meh. I'm to tired to think. Ask Jess or Kix?"
The two named clones waved Echo off, not bothering to take their concentration from their new favourite Holo-net series, Narcos.
"I have an idea!" Heavy called out loudly. "What if we host a party?" He began to stand and walk to the middle of the crowded room.
Reetha lifted an eyebrow questioningly "And the occasion..."
"The occasion should be Coruscant Day!" Droidbait jumped up happily. Heavy nodded. "Excatly. We can host a party here in the Clone Barracks. Since no one is busy as they were during the war, we have all the time to plan for the party and decorate these glum looking rooms."
