Clay watched as the kid could barely string a sentence together. He tried to speak, but he just couldn't. He was speechless.

Eventually he was able to muster up something.

"That singing, it- it was really good." Clay says as the boy looks confused.

"Me? A good singer?" The boy said as Clay noticed his British accent. Why do so many people at this school have accents? Clay wondered.

"I'm Clay by the way. S-sorry for intruding. I can leave" Clay says as he starts turning around.

"Wait, Clay, come back." The brunette boy says, and Clay turns around. "I'm George." He says in a mutter.

George, what a cute name. Clay thinks as he soon stops himself for thinking it was cute. He wasn't gay, so why did he think that was cute?

The two boys stood there for what felt like an eternity of awkwardness. Someone had to break the silence.

"That was a lovely song." Clay says in attempt to break the silence.

"Thanks, I guess." George says.

Lovely? Since when did I use words like that?

"Do you mind?" He says pointing to his guitar. George nods "I was just leaving anyway."

George walks out of the music room not looking back. In a rush to his car to conceal his awkwardness, his backpack gets snagged and rips.

"Shit"

George grabs the books he can and leaves the rest. Doesn't matter, I didn't even use half of that anyway.

He runs down the hallway carefully as to not drop anything else. Once George got into his car he drops the books and start processing what had just happened from the music room and on.

"I can't believe that Clay kid walked in on me singing! World, why are you so cruel, ugh."

He stares forward. "Why am I saying this out loud? Who am I even talking to?!"

George soon turns into a flustered mess after thinking about Clay.

Why am I flustered? I don't even like guys. I'm not gay.

George can tell himself that, but it doesn't mean he can change it.
