She didn't notice him at first until she heard the floorboards creak under his feet, she silently cursed and tried to stop crying, but she couldn't so she put up her head and looked out of the window, the pit of her stomach started aching.
She felt his hand on her shoulder and she tried to shrug it off, but he gripped onto it, it was killing her she didn't want to be with anyone right now, not in this state, especially not with the person who made her open up.
"Const-
But she interrupted him through tears, "just leave Fred."
His hand tightened on her shoulder and she winced, "No," he said calmly.
He walked around and sat in Infront of her, "have you told anyone?" he asked.
"No, and I never intended to," she murmured looking away from him.
They were both quiet for a moment until he broke the silence his voice soft, "there is more to the story isn't there?"
She looked up and looked him straight into the eye, she could feel the tears on her cheeks as she nodded slowly.
She wondered why he didn't ask, but a small part of her was grateful.
He stood up then put his hand in front of her, she was confused but still took it and he hoisted her up too her feet.
A sudden pain rushed through her side as he pulled her to her feet.
"Fuck."
"Are you ok?" he asked grabbing her waist.
She gave him a knowing look and he gave her a small smile.
"Do you want to talk about it?" he asked.
"No, I was never meant to talk about it in the first place" she exhaled.
She felt like she was going to be sick, she started to lower herself back down onto the floor but before she could she'd been engulfed in a hug. She didn't know what to do or what she was meant to say.
So, she hugged him back, she was overwhelmed with warmth and the tears started to come again, she silently cursed herself again willing herself not to cry but she really couldn't stop.
He hugged her tighter when a muffled sob came out and she berried her head into his shoulder.
"It's ok," he whispered to her rubbing his hand up and down her back.
That was when she realised that she had truly opened up to someone, she didn't know what it meant anymore but was highly confused because she didn't hate it. She didn't hate it at all.
Then she felt something wet fall onto her head and heard a muffled sob, he was leaning his head on hers and was. He was crying.
That was probably the most interesting observation of the night because it made her realise that there wasn't only one broken soul in the Weasley's attic there were two.
"Are you crying Weasley?" she managed to choke up.
"Shut up Swallow I'm trying to make you feel better here" he replied while fiddling with the end of her braid.
"Please don't tell anyone, otherwise I'll have to murder you and I really don't want to be the cause of anyone else's death" she whispered.
"Fine then" he agreed.
