(Y/n's point of view)

I had just moved into my new house in Oregon, and for some reason I just had to move about a week before summer break started.

Unfortunately, my parents still made me go to school, though.

I lived in a really nice house, compared to the one I had just moved out of.

But the best part about my house was, the window in my room had roof underneath it, so I could climb out my window and sit on the rooftop.

It was my first day of school and I was stressing it to the MAX.

I had woken up at 5:00, so I could have time to stress, which I knew would happen.

I finally decided on my outfit around 5:30, after trying on my whole wardrobe.

Then I slightly curled my hair so that it was wavy.

By the time I was done that it was 6:12, so I got started on my makeup.

I wasn't a big makeup person, so I did it light and natural, but it still looked really nice.

I made myself breakfast, then I put my socks on and my black hightop converse.

By then it was 6:45.

Then I got my backpack ready.

I put my watch back on, and made sure I had my phone, my charger, and my earbuds.

It was 7:00.

I brushed my teeth and sprinted out to my car, where my mom was already waiting.

I got in the passenger seat and buckled my seatbelt.

"So, you ready for your first day?" My mom asked, more excited than I was.

"Yep." I replied.

"Got everything?" She asked.

"Yep." I said again.

"Oh, come on! I'm sure you'll meet lots of people." My mom said, sensing my worried disposition.

"Yep." I just said again, sighing.

"You might even meet someone who... you know... you think is cute." She said wiggling her eyebrows at me.

"Mom!" I said smiling but also irritated.

"Okay, okay." She said in surrender.

We pulled up to the school.

Why don't I drive myself to school, you might ask? Well despite the fact I'm 17 AND I have a driver's license, I don't have a car, and my parents don't trust me with theirs.

"Okay honey, have a great day." My mom said as I got out of the car.

"Your sure you wanna walk home, hun?" She asked.

"Yea, I'll be fine mom." I said reassuringly.

"Okay, bye!" She said.

"Bye." I said.

I turned around and looked at my new school.

*sigh* well, here goes nothing.

I walked into the school, and headed for the front desk.

"Um, hello. I'm y/n y/l/n, and I'm new." I said to the receptionist lady.

"Oh, hello, dear. I'm Mrs. Jones." She said.

"Here's your timetable, and it looks like your first class is... History! So it's just up the first stairs and four doors down. Room 24. I'll call Mr. Ezekiel, your history teacher, and he'll get someone who has your same timetable to take you to each class today, okay?" She said extremely quickly.

"Alright, thank you." I said, taking the
Piece of paper she handed me.

When I had found history class, teenagers were pouring into it, and I didn't really feel like getting my face stepped on today, so I waited for everyone else to go in first.

Then I went in.

Oh god.

Everyone else had already sat down, so everyone was staring at me.

"Oh, you must be y/n!" Mr Ezekiel said to me.

"Class, this is y/n y/l/n. She just moved here all the way from sunny California." The teacher said.

"You can sit in that desk, y/n." He said to me.

He pointed to a desk beside a boy wearing a blue button up shirt.

"That's Jackson." Mr Ezekiel said.

"Try not to get into trouble today, Jackson." Mr Ezekiel said with a bored expression.

"Yes your majesty!" Jackson replied.

Mr Ezekiel sighed.

"Alright class-" Mr Ezekiel started, but I didn't hear the rest because the boy beside me started talking to me.

"So you're the new girl, huh?" He said smirking.

"Yeah, and what's so funny about it?" I asked.

"Nothing, nothing. Just thought you'd be... you know... nerdier."

"Why?" I asked him.

"I mean, come on. No one would want to come back to school, especially when there's only one week left!" He said.

"I never said I wanted to." I said, smiling. "My parents are making me."

"Okay, well that explains it." He said, smiling right back at me.

"So, what? Are you a popular kid, or a party animal, or a burnout, or a jock?" I asked.

"I'd say I'm a troublemaker or a prankster." He replied.

"Okay, cool." I said.

"What about you?" He asked.

"I'm gonna have to go with troublemaker. I mean, come on! I dyed my old chemistry teacher's hair purple without getting caught." I said.

"Impressive." He said, smiling and nodding.

"Woah, woah, woah. Hold up." He said

"What is it?" I asked.

"Did you just move into the big white house on cherry drive? The one with the two white lions?" He asked me.

"Yeah, how did you know?" I asked.

"Because You're my new neighbor." He said.
