( y/n's point of view)
It was the day after the dinner and I was kind of dreading it.
(Get how the song matches up with the mood? ;) )
It was a beautiful sunny day, thanks to Oregon, but I had barely slept last night and I was really tired.
I crawled out of my warm bundle of blankets like a hermit coming out of her cave.
I walked over to my closet and pulled on the first thing I saw, which happened to be a pretty nice outfit at least.
'At least it's a nice day' I thought to myself.
"Hurry up, sweetheart, you don't want to be late!!" My mom called from the kitchen.
"Coming mom!!!" I yelled back.
I ran to the bathroom and brushed my teeth and my hairl, putting on some light makeup.
I bounded down the stairs, running into the kitchen.
"Morning, sunshine." My dad said as he sat at the table and drank his morning coffee.
"Morning, dad." I said back, grabbing an apple.
"Ready to go?" My mom asked me.
"Yep!" I said, finishing my apple.
"Bye dad!" I said.
"Bye sweetie, have a good day at school!" My dad said back.
Me and my mom walked down the hallway to the front door and slipped on our shoes.
We walked out the door and got into the car, shutting the doors behind us.
As my mom pulled out of our driveway, she started to speak.
"So, that Jackson boy..." my mom started.
"What about him?" I snickered.
"Don't laugh!" My mom said playfully "there's definitely something going on with you two."
"No there's not!" I argued.
"Maybe you should tell that to him." My mom said.
"What? Why?" I asked confusion etched across my face.
"I don't know if you noticed but he was looking at you all dinner." She said, a smile on her face.
"We don't have to talk about it if you don't want, but if you ever need someone to talk to, I'm here." She said comfortingly.
"Okay." I simply replied as we pulled up to the school.
"Have a great day, oh! And I won't be able to pick you up today because I have a meeting, but here's 20 dollars for you to stop at the gas station on your way home to get a slurpee or something." My mom said, handing me the 20 dollar bill.
"Bye, mom." I said, smiling.
"Bye!" My mom said happily.
I loved my mom, she always found a way to love me without crossing boundaries or being too clingy.
I really hope she gets that job offering that she applied for.
