Chapter 44

James's POV

   "One of you will go with Anvi to the mainland on boat to contact your Alpha's regarding the situation. Another one will go with me to see how close we can get to their base in the forest without getting spotted, and the other will go with Nuru to the witch that lives up they way." He said pointing east.

   "And what about Diya?" I asked confused as she looked over at me.

   "Diya stays here to guard. She's fully capable by herself." Cornelius said and instead it coming off as him being an asshole, it came off sincerely like he had a lot of faith in her strength and abilities.

   "Liam you go with Cornelius because I know you and I don't feel like hearing you bitch and complain in this situation. Seth you go with Nuru because I feel like you two are kind of close so it won't be as awkward and it'll be faster since you're both pretty quick. And I'll go with Anvi. Like Cornelius said before, there's not many boats that come around here so we're probably going to sneak onto some tourist cruise again to use their phones aboard or use a phone once we reach the mainland." I said seriously and for once none of my brothers had anything to say about my orders.

   They were both silent and nodded their heads in agreement. They wanted nothing more but to hurry up and bring Kyle home and I couldn't agree more. I missed his scent already and my wolf was anxious.

   "Good. Now everyone go, it'll take hours to complete our tasks and since it's early we should all be back before night fall. Or maybe I should put it differently... given the way those wolves are beginning to act, if you're not back by night fall I'm going to assume you were captured. If you're captured, don't expect us to go storming after you, if we wanted to do that we would've had Kyle, Meti and Caleb back right now. You'll just be added to our rescue list so no matter what, don't get caught. Those wolves aren't the only ones you have to be careful for out here." He said seriously and I was kind of surprised that he was still trying to be nicer to us even without Caleb around.

   "Liam, Seth, Cornelius is the first lion shifter we've ever met. He was only nice enough not to kill us because of the pack treaty, other cat shifters out here don't think the same way. There could be more Lions out there and maybe even leopards out there. I love both of you so be careful." I told them honestly and they both finally smiled at me.

    It was like that petty fight we had right before this incident never happened. I hugged each of my brothers than we all took off with our partners, leaving Diya behind.

I was skeptical about leaving her behind on her own so I thought the quicker we went and came back the better.

I shifted first, followed by Anvi then we were off. Every time I saw one of their Lionesses it always amazed me. They were huge up close and just breathtaking to look at.

"We'll get Kyle back soon." My wolf reassured me and I started to run harder.

I missed him like crazy. That's what I always hated about love in the past, the more you loved and cared about someone, the harder it was when they were away from you or gone. I craved his touch still and just wanted to be around him. His laugh, his goofy smile, even his touch.

No matter what I was going to do my best to get him back to us safely, and to rescue the others while I was at it. Whoever was the leader behind this had balls to fuck with me like this. And if they even think about laying a hand on Kyle I'd kill them.

Shit I get so angry just thinking about how they're treating him. I have to hurry and finish this mission so we can get to him faster.

Kyle's POV
