XVIII

One morning while I was getting ready to leave my room, Luthuis and Claude burst in with some other people, they were looking around the room searching for something or maybe someone. I bowed my head and greeted the two kings.

-"Lady Liadan have you seen Lady Katherine?" I shaked my head negatively and followed them as they left the room.

(Claude what's happening?)

(Katherine is gone) why did she leave all of a sudden? 

(I will look for her at Home, maybe she is there) 

I went back to my room and teleported to the mansion, my mom was shocked as how did I end up here but I didn't have time to answer and left as soon as I checked that Kath wasn't there. Where could she be? 

(Claude Katherine is not at home, I will be looking for her in the forest...)

(No Liadan don't go there alone, I will join you...) 

Too late I was already in the forest I was moving forward but something didn't feel right, it was too quiet, not even the singing of birds could be heard, I can't use my wings someone may see me and none of my abilities can help in this situation. 

(Claude can you hear me? are you in the forest?) no answer, did something happen to him? I'm not in a position to worry about the king of demons, I was still moving forward and looking around I could feel a lot of eyes watching me. I understand where this is going, I'm surrounded by demons, and they are waiting for the moment to attack me, I couldn't tell how many were in the forest but it was a lot and I can't handle them on my own.

(Claude, Luthuis, I don't know if you can hear me but i'm in the forest behind our house's garden and I've been walking for almost ten minutes now so I'm not that far ... But I'm surrounded by demons and they may attack me anytime)

I have just to hope that they heard me and that they will be here soon, now i have to bring Katherine out and catch her.

"Katherine I know that you are here, and i know that you can hear me, so let me tell you what I've always been dying to let out of my chest... You already know why I hate you don't you? The way you always treated me and made fun of me while I was being nice to you... You even slept with my fiance that was a cheap move even for you... and that's not all, You even killed him you MURDERER to become the empress of this kingdom, but guess what? The crown prince wasn't easy to seduce right? You tried everything but he never seems to react to you..." I don't think that this is working.

-"But he was always mean and cold to you, on the other hand he was super sweet to me... Do you want to know what we did in the library? every time when he called for me we had so much fun, he was complimenting me, caressing my cheeks and sleeping on my lap. Yes sister he is in love with me, it's funny how the crown prince took you as his wife but his heart belongs to the sister... And what makes it funnier, is that father was the same, he loved me more..."

-"SHUT UP LIA" she was listening after all, the demons were coming out and walking slowly towards me but they didn't attack me.

-"Father spent most of his time with ME while he didn't even pay attention to you..."

-"SHUT UPP"

-"Come on Kath you know deep down that I'm telling the truth, I was always father's favorite..."

-"I SAID SHUT UP" and before I could react someone attacked me and I was on the ground, I oppened my eyes to find Luthuis on top of me while holding an arrow with his bare hand he sent it back to the person who threw it. 

-"Nice speech Lia" he was here all this time, he heard what I said about him this is embarassing.

Luth helped me get up and when I looked around all the demons have disappeared, I looked at him and he was smiling.

-"Impressive I know!... i sent them back to their world where Claude is waiting for them don't worry" I held his hand in joy.

-"Let me tell you something Lia, something that you don't know of..." Kath said while coming out of the woods, she had a smirk on her face, and behing her was another girl, a familiar one.

-"A-Aurora" Luthuis let go of my hand and walked closer to her, I felt my heart break into pieces, she was his first lover, the one that he truly loved.

-"Luthuis yes it's me Aurora " She opened her arms wide welcoming him into a hug, I stopped him.

-"Luthuis, you said that she was dead... You told me that you got over her... You lied to me?" I tear rolled down of my cheek, he is going to leave me... he is going back to her, I don't want to let him go but I will have too, I can't keep him by my side if he doesn't share the same feelingds with me, I will be the one getting hurt like that. 

I let go of his hand and wipped the tear from my cheek, I looked at Luthuis who was confused.

-"You can go to her Luthuis... I won't hold you back " I stepped back and watched her getting closer to him while smiling, all of this was familiar to me but this hurts even more, I just want everything to end... I wish I never met you Luthuis.

Luthuis grabbed my arm and hugged me, he was holding on me like I could disappear at any moment if he let go of me, I couldn't breath but it didn't matter.

-"Take that back right now... H-how could you say such a hurtful thing to me?" without realising it, I sent him that sentence through telepathy.

-"Luthuis, you abandonned me again?" Aurora the fairy asked with a shaking voice, I could feel sadness and anger in her voice, she felt betrayed.

-"You are not the Aurora I used to love, you let your heart sink in darkness... You used black magic to do bad thing"

-"I did all of this because I love you Luthuis"

-"What does all the bad things you did have to do with me?" Luthuis was in rage, he pushed me behind him to protect me.

-"I killed a lot of humans just as you wanted, and I'm planning to kill that girl behind you... for trying and steal you from me"

-"I never wanted to hurt humans, why do you think i sent them to another world? You made all those demons attack humans haven't you?" 

-"Yes I did using the body of this half one, her ability is incredible"

-"What did you do to my sister?" I shouted at her, and her reaction was unexpected she started laughing.

-"this sister of yours is my puppet, I cursed her soul and now she only follows my orders... Katherine attack your sister" Kath walked towards me holding a knife, Luthuis hid me with his body I looked at Aurora's amused face and smirked.

-"Katherine stop moving" as i said those words, Katherine froze on the spot, Aurora's expression changed to a confused one. I walked towards Katherine and touched her forhead, as soon as I did she fell unconsciouss, I asked Luthuis to bring her home but he refused to leave me alone so he just placed her body under the trees in a safe place.

-"What did you do? How did you do that?" 

-"That's my ability... I copied Katherine's controlling powers and used it on her, and I used Claude's suppress ability to eliminate your curse"

-"What should we do with her now Lia?" I was surprised that Luthuis asked that, it made me feel really happy to know that he is complitely over her now.

-"She committed a lot of crimes, I think that she should be treated like the other bad demons"

-"Luthuis, are you going to forget everything that we had together? are you going to leave me to die again?" Aurora was shouting begging for Luthuis's mercy and affection, she was getting annoying so i sent her back to the other world with the other demons. 

-"Did you copy my ability too?" I just nodded laughing, he picked me up and opened his wings and once we took off I felt like I forgot about something important... Something like my sister.

-"Luth, put me down we need to take Katherine home"
