III

 it was finally time for the princes to choose a wife, I was ready for the loss, for some reason I was sure that I won't get picked and i wasn't sad about it, after all I didn't want to be an empress I just wanted my revenge "...delait" i didn't hear the entire name but i saw katherine happy and i knew that it was her, i smiled at myself in relieve, i was leaving and i looked for the last time at the crown prince who was looking at me, i sent him a small smile before disappearing . 

When i was home, My mom was waiting for me to scold me.

"Liadan where were you all day ? why didn't you go with yo...oh my god Liadan you look so beautiful my little Lia "she asked me to turn around to look at me, tears rolled down her cheeks and the same happened to me, she kept complimenting my hair, the dress and the jewels, and for the first time she told me that I looked so pretty. I was in bed trying to sleep when I heard a fuss downstairs, Kath is back she will probably spend the night preparing her thingd to leave in the morning, I slept peacfully knowing that I won't have to see her annoying face tomorrow.

the next morning I woke up late, it was the most peaceful and comfortable night I ever had, I stretched my muscles when suddenly a wave of happiness took over me and I started laughing and jumping around while singing, I walked towards my bathroom still singing but at my surprise the crown prince was standing besides the door watching me with an amused expression.

"Your majesty I didn't know that you were here, I'm sorry for showing such a behavior in your presence" His amused face was replaced by an annoyed and serious expression.

"lady Liadan pack your clothes you will join us in the royal palace "What is he talking about? 

"Why your majesty ?"

"Lady Katherine wants you as her assistant " when i thought that i would finally live a peaceful life, she came up with the assistant thing, the joy that once filled me was gone,i hate her so much.

" your majesty am I allowed to decline her offer ?"

"and why would you do that ? every Lady in the kingdom would be happy to be the futur empress's assistant "

"not me... can I have at least three days to take care of some buisness?"

"yes you can have all the time you need lady Liadan... you seem very happy for a lady who wasn't picked as the futur empress"

"It was a tempting offer but I don't think that I'm capable of taking such a big responsability... and with all my respect your majesty I was not interested in it or into getting married" Did i go overboard? He previously warned me but I never learn after just one mistake I need a few more warnings, that's how i've always been, but I never thought that I would fall in dangerous situations where my words can cause my death just like now.

"Is that so? it's surprising hearing that when you looked like you were begging for attention last night my lady" Finally showing your true colors to me Prince Luthuis.

-"but I tried to look as discret as I can... I think that it can't be helped with a beautiful face like mine" I said ironically, the prince was surprised by my response and laughed, his laugh sounded so angelic and heartwarming I felt happy and speacial knowing that I made him make this beautiful sound.

"Indeed you are beautiful... I will be waiting for you in three days lady Liadan "I bowed at him and turned around to enter my bathroom thinking that he left, I just wanted to hide my embarassement and my red face.

"You have a beautiful voice Liadan, I hope that I will be able to hear it often" I was left frozen in my spot, he called me by my name and he complimented me a couple of times, this didn't feel right to me... He chose Kath, is he playing around with me? it felt like he did, I feel manipulated.

I went to Rosemary and told her about everything, she suggested to help me buy a few dresses because my older ones were ugly, I'm not the best at fashion. She also helped me learn how to apply makeup, and how to take care of my hair.

Mother and My nanny helped me as well to learn some lady manners and how to serve the new empress, I didn't learn the manners since I prefered the library and reading books. Surprinsingly, I wasn't that bad at them and I learned pretty quickly.

The carriage sent by the crown prince was finally there, I didn't want to leave my mother alone after wat happened a month ago, but she insisted on me leaving and I couldn't refuse her because she told me that she was proud of me.

I was in front of the palace , Kath was with the other assistants and servants waiting for me in front of the door, That represented a message *I have power now so be careful of me*, I walked out of the carriage and bowed slightly to her and affiched a soft smile.

"lady Katherine , i am very honored to be chosen as your personal assistant and as your sister i'm very happy and I hope I won't decieve you" the other people there fell for my acting and Kath was full of rage, Calm down Kath i didn't do anything ... yet, this is just the beginning.

I felt someone looking at me from the windows of the palace, i looked up to see the crown prince watching us from one of the palace's wide windows, i affiched my most charming smile and bowed he returned my smile with a grin, i followed Katherine inside of the Palace.
