Chapter 6

With the team

Suga's POV

The team forgot all about the practice match as we talked about Rin's powerful spike. From the corner of my eye, I saw Rin speaking with Kuroo. "Guys look over there!" We all turned and look at the two. There was no doubt about it, Rin was blushing. 'I totally ship it.'

"Why is Rin blushing?" Tanaka whisper-yelled.

"Why is she even talking to him?" Noya asked. 

"Guys, let them be!" I tried to calm them down but no one would listen to the mom of the team. I sighed. 

"Okay guys, let's continue the game!" Daichi's voice boomed through the gym. I saw Kuroo and Rin flinch. Dang it, Daichi. Way to ruin the moment. We continued our game and in the end, our team won. I could see the first years pouting. I was about to say something when I heard Daichi's voice. "Cheer up, guys! This was just a practice match. It just means we have a long way to go." His voice was so angelic. His wise words got everyone fired up. 

Rin's POV

A couple of hours later

"Bye, guys! I'll see you the next time we meet!" We had some rematches. We were having so much fun, we didn't realize how exhausted we truly were. I could see Noya and Tanaka crying, and I had to assure them that I will come back. I waved one last time before leaving for the train station beside Kuroo. 

Kuroo's POV

Once we got on the train, Rin immediately fell asleep. Kenma was spamming my phone, asking where we were. While playing with Karasuno I kept my phone on silent mode because I didn't want any distractions. When I checked my notifications, I was surprised to dee 72 text messages, and 58 miss calls from Kenma. I answered his call because I didn't want Rin to wake up. 

Kenma let out a breathe he seemed to be holding. "Finally!" He said with a sense of relief. "What's Rin doing? Has she eaten yet? Has she been drinking her water? Is she sleeping well? Did you hurt her? Kenma asked, saying that last part with a murderous tone. 

"Kenma, calm down!" I sweatdropped. "Rin is doing fine. We got on the train and we will be home soon. She just fell asleep." I replied reassuringly. "You better keep your hands to yourself!" 

Kenma's POV

I was currently in my room stressing out about Rin. I know Kuroo would never hurt Rin but I can't stop worrying. I guess my overprotective side came out. But who wouldn't worry if their younger sister was with a flirt? I know I should stop worrying. Rin has grown-up. She is not the same person she was when we were younger. I need to learn to accept that. I huff "Fine!"

Kuroo's POV

Kenma hangs up. I guess he was really concerned for his sister. I sigh. I still don't know a lot about Kenma and Rin. Was Kenma still an introvert back then too? Or maybe he changed after Rin left. I look at Rin. She was still fast asleep. She looked stunning. The sunset was illuminating her features. Her hair framed her face perfectly. She had a small smile on her face. I smile and put my head on hers. 

I wake up a while later to the sound of a game. I find Rin awake and currently playing on her Nintendo. "So you're awake?" She looks at me with a stoic face. "I woke up a while ago. I got bored and chose to pass some time," she responds. 

I checked my phone "We have like 10 minutes before we get to our stop. What do you wanna do?"

Rin's POV

"Let's play 21 questions!" I said.

"Sure, why not. I'll go first. What is your favourite colour?"

"Ummmmm It's either black or red."

"Black is not a colour. It's a shade." He said cheekily. 

"It doesn't matter. They're both the same thing." I said with my brows furrowed. 

"Actually there's a difference." Kuroo then proceeds to tell me all the differences between colour and shade. I rolled my eyes. I got annoyed by his rambling so I put my hand over his mouth. "Okay okay, I get it!" I felt Kuroo's face heat up but, I didn't think too much about it though. 

We continued to play the game until the train stopped. We walk out as we continue talking. "Okay, last question. Do you play volleyball?" After those words came out of his mouth my vision started getting blurry. 'No no, not now!'
