Chapter 5

Kuroo's POV

"Well, you remind me of a cute kitten." My face immediately started to heat up. Rin's face did too. We both became stuttering messes. "Let's just go get your ramen." Rin just nodded her head, too flustered to speak. We walked to the nearby ramen shop. "2 bowls of ramen please." We both sat down and waited. The silence was getting uncomfortable. "Ummmmmm H-how was life at Karasuno?" I cursed myself for stuttering. 

"It was alright. The team was welcoming when I first became the manager. They are all like brothers to me. They're also really overprotective."

"Here's your ramen!" the ramen dude said. I thanked him and we began to eat.

"Wow, you must be really hungry?!" I looked at Rin.

Rin swallowed her food then laughed. "Yeah, I guess." Once we finished eating, we just walked and talked until our train arrived. We found our seats on the train and sat down. A couple of minutes later I turn to see Rin fast asleep. I guess she really likes sleeping. Almost like a cat.

2 hours later

By the time we got to Miyagi Rin was still fast asleep. I nudged her a little. She looked tired so, I decided to offer her a ride on my back. She graciously accepted and fell asleep. This seriously gives me deja vu. Luckily I don't have Kenma glaring at me. 

Rin's POV

I felt some movement. I wake up to see that I'm on somebody's back. More specifically Kuroo's back. The last thing I remember was getting on the train. 

"Kuroo."

"Oh, Are you awake kitten?"

"Yeah."

"Do you want to show me where to go?"

"That way!" I said like a child. When we finally got to Karasuno, I felt the breeze blow through my hair. I got off of Kuroo and jumped up excitedly. I grabbed Kuroo's hand and dragged him to the gym. I knew the school like the back of my hand. I opened the gym doors to see if there was practice. Everyone was practicing really hard. Kurro and I slowly crept inside. The boys didn't notice us while we walked towards Kiyoko. "Hey, Kiyoko!" I greeted. 

"Ah, Rin when did you get here?"

"Oh, just now! How are practices going?"

"Their practices are going great. The team is working very hard."

"That's good to know."

"Ummmm anyway isn't he Nekoma's captain?" 

"Oh yeah! He's the one who brought me here."

"Thank you for keeping Rin safe," Kiyoko said turning towards Kuroo.

"Oh, It's not a big deal, "Kuroo replied.

"OMG look it's Rin-senpai!" The whole gym went silent. The ball rolled on the gym floor. I could feel everyone stare at me. It was getting awkward so I shrank behind Kuroo. 

"Guys, stop staring. Can't you guys see she's uncomfortable?" Kiyoko said stepping in.

"Sorry. But, do you want to play volleyball with us?" Hinata invited eagerly. 

"Absolutely! Kuroo do you want to play as well." Kuroo agreed. We got in our teams and got into our positions. The teams were Suga, Kuroo, Tanaka, Asahi, Ennoshita, and me versus Daichi, Tsukishima, Yamaguchi, Kageyama, Hinata, and Nishinoya. 

"Oh, another shorty that's a middle blocker," Tsukishima remarked sarcastically. 

"Shut up! We're going to win." Tanaka started with serving the ball. Daichi received it perfectly and sent it to Kageyama. I saw Hinata run towards the net. Kageyama and Hinata did the quick attack. Luckily I predicted where Hinata would hit the ball. I quickly received the ball and passed it to Suga. I could see a couple of shocked faces but, I shrugged it off. 

"Suga! Over here!" I yell. As I run towards the net I see the blockers ready to jump. I jump up. The ball comes towards me and I used all the strength I can muster to smash the ball on the other side. My spike broke through the three-man block. When I landed on the ground the gym was soundless. I was worried if I had done something wrong. Hinata was the first to break the silence. 

"That was so cool Rin-senpai! Can you please teach me?"

"YEEEEEEEAAAAAAHHHHHH!!!!!! That's our Rin for ya!" Tanka hollered ripping his shirt off. 

"She got through a three-man block." I heard Asahi whimper. 

"Oi! Asahi you gotta be a man. So? What if Rin got through a three-man block. You can do it too." Noya comforted him slapping his back. 

I noticed Kuroo standing in his place mind-blown. I walked up to him and nudged him a little. He snapped out of the trance then looked at me with his signature smirk. "You never told me you had this much strength in you," Kuroo exclaimed. My face flushed red as I tried to return the compliment. While I was talking with Kuroo I didn't acknowledge the team watching us.
