Day 4
Kosh woke up the next day tired and not ready for the day ahead. He looked around his room, almost in a forgotten haze like he didn't know where he was. He looked at his watch. 6:34 am. Damn.
He jumped off his bed and got ready in a matter of seconds. He ran out the door spraying on his cologne and eating a waffle that he made in the rush of the morning. He had made to the bus stop almost as soon as the bus had shown up. He got on and slept all the way to school.
That morning was in slow motion, first period felt like hours and second even longer. Then came third, he walked in and sat down without a single word said. Kaytlin came in soon after.
"Morning Ezrial!" She said excitedly.
"Hey Ahri." He tried to sound exited but he knew it wasn't working too well.
"Ahri?"
"Yeah, with those cat ears you wear everyday I decided to call you Ahri." He explained.
"Oh okay!" She smiled pleasingly. He always loved her smile, she looked so perky and happy. Almost like nothing in this world could stop her.
"Today class we will be watching Of Mice And Men, you have to pay attention or else you'll lose participation point leading to a bad grade so I expect full attention. Plus it's a movie so enjoy." Mr.Williamson went to his computer and turned on the movie.
Kosh was sitting down next to Kaytlin and whispering comments about the movie. They laughed a few times and went back to watching the movie.
Then Kaytlin did something somewhat surprising. She lifted her legs up and put then on his lap. He pretended not to notice. The movie went on and comments were thrown here and there some more till finally class ended.
"Hey Kosh?" She said.
"Yeah?"
"Just wanted to let you know that you've been really nice to me and I thank you for that." She said.
"Yeah no problem." Kosh felt like he was blushing but apparently wasn't because no one said anything about it. After that the day went by fast. he knew that she could make things better. She was a world pusher. Anything that had happened the night before was almost nothing to Kosh now. He was happy again and nothing could bring him down, he thought. But oh how wrong he was.
