Day 3
Kosh woke up with a startle. A cold sweat dripped down his cheek from the dream the night before. He ignored the dream and quickly checked his watch. 6:10 am. Good, he wasn't late.
As Kosh climbed down from his top bunk, he began to think of the day ahead. What will he need for school? How will he talk to Kaytlin today? He didn't know why but he seemed much more nervous than usual about such a simple situation. He was on his bottom bunk now, leaned over tying his shoes. he looked up on his dresser and saw a black Sharpie. For some reason he felt like it was gonna be fun to have today, to draw or something. So he grabbed it, put it in his bag and walked out the door.
First period went by in a science filled haze. Second in a slow motion sense. Then came third. He walked in as normal, set his stuff down and put the Sharpie in his pocket. Maybe it will come in handy this period. Take his mind off things. Everyone walked in and took their seats. Including fate girl. Once she sat down next to him he realized that he shouldn't be nervous what so ever, and relaxed. The period went on with a few comments passed around here and there. And then she pulled out a pen.
She began to draw on her arms. Kosh knew how drawing on your arm with pen felt. He knew it didn't exactly tickle. But he couldn't ask her to stop, cause that's rude. He felt a bit bad. He also felt something else. The marker in his pocket. He had forgotten all about this marker and now knew why he felt he needed it. He pulled it out and asked if she needed it.
"Thanks Kosh!" She said with a hug to follow. He was shocked.
"No problem." He said.
She pulled back and studied him. "Can I call you Ezrial?" She asked.
"Why Ezrial?" He replied.
"Because you remind me of Ezrial from League of Legends!"
He nodded. He'd played League before. Not much. But he played many games like it.
"Thanks Ezrial." She said. And continued the drawing on her arm.
Class ended a few minutes later and Kosh had said goodbye to her. They went their separate ways. The day went on.
That night Kosh had heard that his family was going to have a family meeting. Its usually these situations that lead to new rules or disbanded rules from the house. His parents got home later that night and gathered him and his brother Brad in the kitchen.
"What's this meeting about?" Asked Brad and Kosh simultaneously.
"Well, a lot of things so sit down." Said Kosh's dad Danial.
Kosh took a seat. "We've got complaints from the landlord who got complaints from the neighbors about smoking." They looked at Brad. Brad had a somewhat bad habit with cigarettes and even he knew it.
"We're not going to make you stop, just take a walk when you do smoke if you can please?"
Brad nodded. They looked at me. "Kosh you haven't been doing chores lately what so ever. We need you to clean up aro..."
"Actually me and Kosh have been doing chores around the house it's you who haven't." Brad interrupted.
"We don't have time to do chores when we're home not with the new baby around." Said Sam, Kosh's mom.
Jayden. He was born in October and is the cutest baby anyone has ever seen. Sadly though he's stolen his parents away from him. Not saying that they were ever actually there for him. But he still likes the little questions and conversations he got. If they weren't about chores or school of corse.
He stopped paying attention for five minutes and blanked out. Thought about life while a nuclear argument was about to explode in his own kitchen.
"God damn it I never asked for this I never asked for any of this!!!!" Yelled Brad. It took Kosh out of a haze and back to reality.
"You can move out anytime you want Brad no one is stopping you! Why don't you just walk out the door right now?!" Replied Danial.
"There's school stopping me dad! I would rather not drop out like some people!!!!"
"Well look where I am now! I got a good wife a great job and three children!" At this point they were practically screaming. Kosh was surprised that the cops didn't show up for a noise complaint.
The yelling went on for what felt like hours until finally Kosh couldn't handle it anymore.
"Shut the fuck up both of you!!!!" Yelled Kosh.
The room was silent for a few minutes and like that it was over. No more yelling or screaming. Silence.
Kosh and Brad had the same idea and went on a walk to blow off steam. Kosh seemed torn. He loved Brad but knew he was moving out soon and he was feeling terrible about that. That world that Kaytlin had pushed off his shoulders was back on. Hopefully, thought Kosh, tomorrow will set everything back to normal and we can forget about tonight. Hopefully.
