A month has gone by since I've stopped writing this book. Kosh had given up hope in his dream girl and was going to move on. He decided that she was to good for him anyways. And that if he tried to tell her he wouldn't be able to. He thought the feelings had been blown away in the wind, but like everything, there is always a lingering of its existence after its so called "gone". He texted me from Cali the other week, asking me to give this book to Kaytlin. I did so.
"Katylin, hey uhh. Someone wanted me to write this book for you." I said as I approached her during lunch.
The lunch room was loud as usual, people busily walking from here to there, chatting about bullshit gossip probably.
"What? Who wanted you to write me this?" She asked me, drawing me out from the atmosphere of the cafeteria.
"Uhh... I can't say. he made me promise I wouldn't tell you his real name."
Her facial expression changed from confused to intrigued.
"What's it about?" She asked
"Guess you'll just have to read and find out." I replied smart assidly.
I gave her the link to the book, and walked over to my friend group. 4th, 5th, and 6th period all flew by in a breeze. I got home and sat down on my bed with my phone. I started playing Mortal Kombat X when all the sudden my phone went off. I checked to see what it was.
Kaytlin had sent me a friend request on Facebook. Had she already read the book? That was fast.
I accepted it and instantly got a message from her.
"Plesh tell me i need clarity i can't say if i liked him back or not if i don't know who it was. this hurts my soul tristan."
Damn... that was really deep. I thought.
"Did you read it?" I asked. already knowing the answer but stalling still for the fear she might convince me to tell her who "Kosh" was.
"Yes I did!
Plesh tell me!
I'm dying!"
"But, I made a promise." I replied. she must really want to know.
"And I am burning with curiosity!"
"Well fire is good." So is stalling. I thought as I hit the send button.
"and i can never tell if i liked them back without knowing who they were and what he said at the end gah my chest is tight like my heart is breaking." She replied. I felt really bad so I texted Kosh.
"Kaytlin wants to know who you are." I said to him.
"She does? You showed her the book?" Kosh replied.
"Yeah apparently she really liked it."
I went back to Kaytlin and I's conversation.
"Do you really feel like that over a guy who you don't know? Or don't know who it is?" I asked
"Yes because i can never tell him how sorry i was that he never got the chance to tell me, how what could have been never got to be, i can't explain why i get like this but i do..." She said. My heart rate picked up as I read the text. I had never seen, nor even knew of this side of Kaytlin. It was, sweet.
I went and told Kosh and he told me to tell her who he was. To explain why he never told her.
And so I did.
