After winning my 7th Kalos badge at the Anistar City gym, Serena and I were about to leave Anistar City when Serena's holocaster started buzzing and when she checked it, a message that was coming from Lysandre played revealing that he was the leader of Team Flare and that he was planning to wipe out everyone who wasn't from Team Flare. We then heard from someone that they had a feeling that Team Flare might have a hideout in Lumiose City, so we went to find out and eventually we found a cafe where two members of Team Flare disguised as waiters battled us and found a secret passage to their hideout. When we got inside, we came up to Lysandre who battled me to test my strength and unlike in Hoenn and Sinnoh, where I lost my first battle against a crime boss, I actually won, but it was a very close battle. After losing, Lysandre said that I really impressed him and went down the elevator after saying that if I wanted to follow him, I'd have to find the elevator key, so I went around the base and battled some Team Flare members before finding Team Flare Admin Mable and I defeated her and she gave me the elevator key. We then followed Lysandre down to the floor below and saw that he had imprisoned Az. Lysandre then told us that millennia ago, Az had a floette who he loved very much. Then one day, a war took place that his floette fought in. One day, Az received a little box several years later, because his beloved floette was killed in the war and he wished to bring floette back, no matter the cost, so he built a machine and brought floette back. However, Az's rage had gone too far and turned the machine into the ultimate weapon of destruction and used it to end the war. Floette, knowing that it had been brought back to life at the cost of the lives of thousands of pokemon, left Az out of grief that it's friend had done something so terrible. Since committing such an awful crime, Az then told us that as punishment, the legendary pokemon xerneas had cursed him with immortality and he had experienced unending pain and guilt of the soul ever since. In the middle of the story, Serena started to cry and held my hand and I also started crying towards the end. Lysandre then told us that he planned to use the same weapon himself to create a more beautiful world for Team Flare. We then followed Lysandre down to next floor down where Lysandre was speaking to a high ranking member of Team Flare Xerosic and when Lysandre left, I battled and beat Xerosic who then said that one of the buttons behind him would activate the weapon and the other was the shutdown switch but he didn't say which one was which, so I pushed the blue one, hoping that it was the shutdown switch but unfortunately, it turned out that Xerosic lied and said that both buttons activated the weapon. We then saw a live feed from Geosenge Town of the weapon rising up from the ground and ready to wipe out everyone who wasn't from Team Flare. We then went to Geosenge Town as fast as we could and went into the Team Flare HQ and went down the elevator. We then saw Lysandre in the Team Flare head office and said that we weren't going to let him use the weapon. He then explained his problems with humanity because of us causing so many problems with the world, he had to eliminate those problems forever. Then I asked, "What about the pokemon?" Tears started to flow down Lysandre's face since he considered pokemon to be wonderful creatures, but with pokemon together with humans, he said that there would always be problems and he was saddened that he had to sacrifice them as well. He then challenged me to a battle refusing to shut down the weapon and after I won, he told me to go down to witness the weapon in person. We then continued down and Trevor and Shauna came to help us and we battled some Team Flare members until we got to the bottom and when we got into the room the weapon was in, half the Team Flare members inside chased Shauna and Trevor out, but this meant that Serena and I had less Team Flare members to battle and after beating them they left. Suddenly the ground shook and the legendary pokemon yveltal awoke and I had to use the master ball to catch it. Then Lysandre came in and said that he had collected mega evolution energy and challenged me to another battle to take yveltal back, but this time, I had to use yveltal to stand a chance of beating him. I started out by using yveltal who I had replace Blitzwing who I gave to Serena to take care of, to beat his first few pokemon but it got defeated by Lysandre's mega gyarados and so I had to mega evolve Auramaster to defeat gyarados. Without yveltal, the weapon started to self destruct, so we had to escape the Team Flare lab. When we got outside, we got out of Geosenge Town to be sure we were out of the way of the explosion, then when we knew that we were safe, Serena and I hugged and promised to see our journey to the end together. We then made our way back to Anistar City and since we spent all day battling Team Flare, it was getting late so we went to the pokemon center for dinner and went to bed for the night and in the morning we had breakfast and started to head out to Snowbelle City. Along the way, we battled some trainers and eventually we arrived in Couriway Town where we saw Professor Sycamore who thanked us for helping to stop Team Flare and I gave him the master ball with yveltal inside for safekeeping. He then challenged me to a battle in which he used the fully evolved Kanto starters venusaur, charizard and blastoise which I won pretty easily and then he wished me luck with the rest of my journey. We then continued on and we were crossing a bridge when Shauna, Trevor and Tierno caught up with us and all challenged me to a battle, but over time they took out all my pokemon except Auramaster. After beating them, they wished me luck with the rest of my journey as well, then we continued on again and finally arrived in Snowbelle City where it was snowing, so Serena and I put on our snow clothes and headed to the pokemon center for some lunch and went to the gym but found out that he wasn't there, but thankfully someone came and told us that he was in the winding woods, so we went to look for him and we eventually found him and he told us that his name was Wulfric and he figured that I wanted to challenge him to a gym battle, so he accompanied us to the gym and I battled the trainers inside but unfortunately, Auramaster was battling a mamoswine who tanked a meteor mash and defeated Auramaster with an earthquake, handing me my 2nd loss in Kalos alone as well as my 5th ever so far. We raced back to the pokemon center to rest my pokemon and since I made the mistake of forgetting to rest my pokemon before going into the gym, I started to feel utterly ashamed and started to cry. As Serena pulled me in for a hug, I expressed my shame in taking my strongest pokemon for granted and eventually I started to feel tired, so I decided to have a nap and when I woke up, I was resting on Serena's lap. She told me that she took my pokemon from Nurse Joy while I was asleep and then put my head on her lap to make sure I was ok while I was asleep. Serena and I then took each other by the hand and went to the gym where I battled the trainers inside more strategically during which Croaker learned ice beam before coming up to Wulfric, then I took a deep breath and said, "I never introduced myself before, but I'm Jason." "Ok Jason, I accept your challenge." Said Wulfric. We then got into our positions and I sent out Blitzwing while Wulfric sent out his mega abomasnow. Unfortunately for Wulfric, Blitzwing easily defeated both his abomasnow and his cryogonal before getting defeated by his avalugg, then I sent out Auramaster, mega evolved him then defeated avalugg with one aura sphere. "Avalugg is unable to battle, lucario wins, so victory to Jason." Said the referee. After calling Auramaster back to his pokeball and thanking him for winning me the battle so amazingly, I turned to Serena who was tearing up out of sheer pride and we raced towards each other and hugged each other longer than ever before. At some stage during the hug, Serena kissed me on the cheek and said, "I'm so proud of you Jason." After breaking the hug, I took Serena by the hand and said, "Thanks Serena." We then went over to Wulfric who said, "Congratulations Jason, as proof of your victory at the Snowbelle City gym, I award you the iceberg badge." I took my final Kalos gym badge and then Wulfric said, "Now that you have 8 gym badges, you can go and challenge the elite four at the pokemon league." "Thanks Wulfric." I replied. After leaving the gym we saw that it was getting late so we went to the pokemon center for dinner and went to bed for the night and in the morning we had breakfast and started to head out to the pokemon league.
