Mila's pov

If there was one thing that Mila hated, it was the silent treatment. Whether it was because of a memory of her father ignoring her when she was a child when she had done something wrong, or the fear of losing a friend she didn't know, she just knew that it made her feel terrible.

Therefore, Mila usually made an effort to not make Lucy mad, knowing the consequences.

Despite sharing a room, and seeing each other around the Villa, she still refused to speak to Mila, only making her more upset. She could only think about how this made Lucy feel, she must feel bad too...she must.

So, when Lucy had finally left the bathroom after her shower, wet hair still dripping down her back, only to completely ignore Mila's presence, she decided that was enough.

"Lucy stop, can't we be adults about this?" Mila asked her, standing right in front of her best friend in order to hopefully catch her gaze, "there's nothing going on between me and Harry"

Her stomach churned.

That most definitely was not true.

Today there had been something between them, they'd kissed for God's sake something must have been between them. She hated lying to Lucy, she'd known her too long to be able to lie to her with a steady heart.

"Right...sure Mila" Her voice was stale, bored almost as they looked into each other's eyes before her eyebrows eventually furrowed, lips pressed, "No, you're right. I'm sorry Mila, I'm being childish" Her face all of a sudden lit up as she pulled Mila into a tight hug, her wet hair sticking to her face, "I overreacted, come on help me pick an outfit" Her face now lit up as she pulled Mila over to her suitcase.

Mila couldn't help the smile that also came to her face, it felt good to be with her best friend again.

It took barely an hour for the two girls to get ready, Mila pulled on a black two-piece whilst Lucy went for a red dress, both girls ready for a banging night out, started by the pres they were currently downing like water.

"Freya, slow down, yeah it won't disappear" Talia joked as Freya finished another glass.

"I'm on holiday, let me be" she shrugged, giggling in her semi-tipsy state.

That had been their excuse to start drinking in the first place, when in Rome after all.

Talia had started their night off, dancing her way into the room with a bottle of wine, followed closely by Freya who held another bottle and four glasses. It hadn't been their plan to have a better night in than out, but it wasn't terrible.

"This is what we need, next time it's a girls-only holiday," Lucy told them, pouring herself and Talia another drink, surprisingly the two got on better when drunk. One would think that's when they'd be most aggressive and up for a fight, but when Lucy was drunk she seemed to sombre out, thankfully for the rest of them.

"A girl's holiday sounds great, a week without Josh, get in!" Freya laughed loudly, jokingly fist-pumping the air.

"Hey!" A voice shouted from outside the door as it opened slowly, "What's that supposed to mean?" Josh laughed his usual laugh as the group of girls turned to see the two boys, Josh and Simon, standing at the door waiting.

"Never you mind," Freya told him, standing up and making her way over, pulling his neck down and hugging him. She was a soppy drunk, it seemed.

"We about ready to go?" Simon asked, side-eyeing the two, "Before Freya passes out"

The group laughed at him, Freya only rolling her eyes before moving down the stairs, whooping and hollering to gas everyone up, however, they were all sober, well most of them, and weren't ready for the loudness of the girl.

"Who's got her drinking already?" Tobi joked, helping her down the steps hoping she wouldn't fall.

He seemed nice, even though they hadn't spoken much, but to be fair Mila hadn't made connections with most of the people there. So she decided that was her night's mission, to get to know some of the people here better, namely Vik and Tobi.

So, as they headed out, she placed herself closer to the back where Tobi walked, making polite conversation with the kind boy rather than being upfront with Harry and the Cal's as she usually would. But that didn't matter too much; to her at least. Whilst she was making new friends, Harry couldn't help but think he'd made things awkward, and felt absolutely terrible about it.
