Hazelle Miette spun around in the golden meadow on the western side of the Forest. She loved it here so it was usually the first place she would turn into autumn. The grass flowed around her in an endless dance of golden fire as she twirled happily with the wind. As autumn came closer and closer her powers grow exponentially. This year has had so many problems, however.
The Autumn spirit had heard from the Lord of the Forest, Forester Drestier, that the humans of the eastern side have slowly become more and more aware of the Enchanted Forest. Also, Urte Ambrose, an evil Elven Witch, has been causing dangerous mishaps for the past eleven years that have just been showing up this year. The Chaos Lord had been stirring recently, perhaps that's why all these occurrences have been happening. He usually liked to mess up the forest and he hasn't been heard of in so long... he was bound to turn up again.
Hazelle sighed, she disliked it when the forest was turned into the Chaos Lord's personal play ground. The Enchanted Forest never did anything wrong... Khaos Drestier was just sick. As the grass curled around her ankles, a faint sound carried with the wind. Hazelle paused and listened. The Autumn wind was screeching, it was unhappy. What is wrong? Why do you sound so distressed?
The air suddenly turned cold, winter cold... but Adin was asleep, he shouldn't be out yet... it was far, far too soon. The wind harshly started to whip around her until her hat flew off. Hazelle screamed and crouched down to avoid the wind. It was angry but not at her... something had set the wind off.
“This air is so crisp, I can't wait to destroy it!” A soft rasp came off the air and sent shivers down Hazelle's back.
Hazelle looked up and gasped when she saw Hades' Grim Reaper, Theresa Wapeka, standing before her with a wicked glint in her dark brown eyes. Her hair was a pitch black and placed high on her head where the rest of it flowed down to her lower back. Her dress was a dark blood red and adorned with silver and iron chains; her skin a pale beauty and her lips a bloody ruby. Her black claws clutched a few strands of what were now dead autumn blades of grass as she smiled at her with sickeningly sharp teeth.
“What do you want Theresa Wapeka?! I will not tolerate you messing with the seasons!” Hazelle said with a confidence she didn't really feel.
Theresa tilted her head with an amused curiosity, “Are you threatening me, young Hazelle Miette?”
Hazelle stood up and, despite her small size, pulled up her authority of the Seasonal Children, “Yes, I am. Leave or I will eradicate you. Hades or not.”
“Oh really?” Theresa threw her head back and cackled in pure enjoyment, “I admire your tenacity but I'm afraid I'll have to refuse yourkind offer. I cannot leave yet until I finish my business here.”
“And what business might that be?” Hazelle asked, eying her with suspicion.
Theresa appeared before her in an instant and seized her by the throat, “The death of Autumn!”
Hazelle clawed her hands at Theresa's tight hold on her neck but was unable to pry them off. Eventually she blanked out from loss of oxygen.
------------ Half-hour later--------------
Theresa didn't like this at all. In fact, she was completely against it but... she didn't have much of a choice. The Reaper stared at Hazelle Miette who now was contained in Theresa's Chambers for safe keeping until she could get the gumption to kill her. Damn that Khaos Drestier.
