Declan's POV
Everything seems to be running smoothly. Unsurprising to me, my dear sister seems to be able to manage just fine in my absence. Granted I was only gone a week, but everything seems to be in order and business is running as usual.
We are in the full swing of things, it's a normal Thursday as dinner is halfway through. Business has been booming lately and we have had a full restaurant for the past few months.
Giving the place another glance around, my eyes gravitate on their own accord to the bar. Another once over shows me that there is a new person that has joined us.
Her blonde hair bounces on her shoulder as she elegantly moves around the obviously familiar territory. Her head held up as she was in the zone. Pouring and serving drinks like she has done it her whole life, but from the looks of her she seems to only be 21 or 22.
Her eyes captivate me the most, even from up here the color of her eyes is mesmerizing. The blue pulls you into her spell. The ocean currents that are held captive in her irises.
Knocking on the door pulls me out of my own head. "Enter."
My right and left hand enter the office as they give a respectful nod in my direction. Mathew sits down across from me as Luke stands behind the chair next to Mathew.
"Good to see you back boss." Luke says with a nod.
"How's the family?" Mathew says with some disinterested.
"Everyone's good, but Aunt Mia says you need to call her."
A groan can be heard from Mathew once more. "She calls me at least once a day. What more could she want from me?" He continues to moan while pulling out his phone.
He earns a smirk from me, but it doesn't last long as now is time to get back to business.
"How did the shipment go?" I say while pushing back in my chair and bringing my leg up to cross the other.
Luke speaks first, "Good, there was no activity besides our own. The Americans haven't figured out the new location of shipments since the last raid."
Nodding my head, Mathew steps in. "We still have yet to figure out the leak, but we are narrowing down the list day by day. It won't be too much longer." Mathews angry grows with his sentence.
"This is testing my patience boys." I remark while leaning back. I can almost feel my blood pressure rising as I think of the strain this problems has proven to be.
Everyone is one edge as we still haven't figured out who the mole is. "We can't afford the feds showing up to another shipment. That cost us enough money as it is. I want this mole found yesterday."
"Understood." They both said in unison as I raised my hand to dismiss them.
"And Luke, go find my sister." I intrust as they both walk out the door.
Mathew has been with me since the beginning, he is my number one. Cousins by birth, but we have been inseparable since we were children. He was groomed and prepped to be my second in command from the time we could both walk.
His father, Caleb, was my father's second in command. Mathew has proved to be nothing, but a loyal asset to our organization and I can gladly say I would take a bullet for him, as he would for me.
My third in command is Luke, while he is not related to me by blood, he is my brother none the less. He joined our organization when he was 18, an excellent marksman and through his skill he worked his way up the ranks. By 21 it was obvious he was suited for this life and so he became part of the top dogs.
