A/n: First off, hi. I know it's been a while, and I apologize for that. I sort of spent some time to grow personally. Secondly, I was going to make a chapter about negative self love that leads to selfishness (I couldn't remember your username, so please tag yourself in the comment section and everyone please follow her; I'll use your idea one day) for today (Christmas), but I couldn't think of anything, and I kept getting distracted, and that led to procrastination until I forgot about it. With all of that being said, I hope you all had a great Christmas and on to the topic of the chapter.
To anyone,
"Yesterday, I had a battle with the part of me that I used to hate. Now, yesterday makes me think."
~Young Johan
Sometimes, we want things in our lives, but we never get to the right space to get them. We don't have the necessary tools and we haven't made the necessary changes to handle them. And some of us just don't know where we are going (I was at this stage once; not many people know). But that's what this chapter is for: to help you if and when you get to these points in life.
Identifying Where You Are Going
Sometimes, it's confusing to know where you are going. There's only two ways you can go. Imagine taking a walk, and you spot a sign in front of a path. It reads "forward". There's lots of trees lining the path and trees behind those trees to the left and right of the path's center. You have never seen this place before. But once you look behind you, a sign that read "backwards" stands there. You look at the environment, and it's clear, grassy hills under a cloudy sky and sunlight. The clouds bring occasional shade. You know all about it, and it has some things that you don't like. In this case, forwards represent the unpredictable future with a possibility of anything happening. You represent the present, sometimes predictable, but a little unexpected. Backwards represent the past, high expectancy, but a little bit of it is toward the bad things that have already been identified and solve. If you don't choose to progress forward and take chances, you will go backwards and end up repeating what you have already experienced. Sometimes, it's best to remember the bad, because it can be used to get you to better things. But if you go forward, expect whatever to happen, positive, negative, and everything in between and outside of them. But expecting something to happen will set you back. But always remember that the choice is yours
Moving Forward And Backwards
When moving forward, it can be hard, especially when you have no trust or belief from others. But these are things that you must find in yourself first. Without them, you have a higher probability of looking for them in the wrong place. So, how do you move forward? The answer is simple: move backwards.
When I say "move backwards", I don't mean "go back to the past and stay there." No. I mean to periodically revisit the past briefly and finish the unfinished business that keeps you from moving forward. Sometimes, we can't move forward because we haven't answered every question there is to answer behind our present selves. You can't move on from a situation if you still have a grudge over what happened. The past is the past. Whatever happened, happened. There's nothing you can do to change it. The only thing you can do is good ol' F&F: forgive and forget. You have to forgive the person for doing what they did, and forget that it happened. If it comes back up after, then you will be able to go through it and get through it better, faster, and stronger than before. Pain lasts as long as you let it. Don't let it last forever.
Pushing Your Present Tense To Your Future Tense With Your Past Tense
When being creative, using personal experience is a big deal. It helps make your creations more emotional, experienced, and more human than they would be if made by someone who hasn't experienced it. Personal experience gives your product the authenticity that is not easy to duplicate, and when it comes to being in a creative career path such as an artist or a music producer (go subscribe to my YouTube channel; I make beats; I'll leave a link at the end of this chapter), having personal experience is a huge advantage.
That's All, Folks!
And that's all I have for today. Thank you so much for reading the first chapter of 2021! This was supposed to be my last chapter of last year, but I just never got around to it. I started to focus on making beats and working on myself personally in every aspect of my life, which is why I slowed down on writing new chapters. And I may do a chapter on how my 2020 was. I don't know yet. Please like, comment if this helped you have a better start to your 2021. I love you all. And always remember: there's no room for drama in 2021. This is a year of positivity and growth towards a better year for self.
