Chapter 6- Magic Gone Wrong

*Omg, I am so sorry for not getting out a new chapter in a while! I lost all of motivation and I had no ideas whatsoever. First off, this chapter will contain spoilers for chapter 2. Next, I'm extremely sorry I didn't work on anything at all for the longest time. Like I said, I had no motivation. Anyways, I hope all of you had a great Christmas and if you don't celebrate Christmas then I hope you had a fun winter break! :)*

I woke up with a traumatizing buzzing in my ear. Sitting up quickly, I look around and see no one there. It still scared me so I decided to call out just incase.
"Hello..?" I called out. To my surprise, someone made a noise.
"Nihihi!" I heard the giggle of the small grape looking boy. "Morning, sleepyhead!" Kokichi smiled, holding a small toy. He turned it on. It started to make a buzzing noise.
"So that's what the buzzing was..." I mumbled, rubbing my forehead. I was still terrified from last night. "What do you want, Kokichi?" I asked.
"Gonta told me to wake you up. He said he has a surprise for you." He muttered.
"And you said you would?" I almost shouted. His sentence was so surprising that I almost burst out laughing.
"If I didn't then he would've done another Bug Meet and Greet that contained only me!" Kokichi snapped back.
"Whatever, get out so I can get changed." I said. He left and I got up. After getting dressed I walked out just to end up having Kokichi grabbing my wrist and pulling me away. "What the hell are you doing!?" I asked.
"You don't know where the surprise is so I'm taking you to it!" He sneered. I didn't trust that little smile of his. Anytime he makes that face I know something is wrong. I flicked my wrist really hard, causing Kokichi to let go.
"Does anybody else know about this 'surprise'?" I asked his. He looked at me with an annoyed expression.
"Kirumi knows about it too." He mumbled. Kirumi approached us, I'm guessing she already knew about Kokichi's plan.
"You can fool me or Y/N, Kokichi." Kirumi looked over at me. "Come, I will show you where Gonta's surprise is really at." She started to walk off, I followed her. I still didn't trust her but she was more trustworthy than Kokichi. After a few seconds of silent walking, I decide to confront her.
"Kirumi, I-"
"I apologize..." Kirumi cuts me off. She turns around to look at me then she gently places her hands on my shoulders. "I don't know what came over me, I just felt as if I needed to do what I did. I felt as if someone or a whole group of people were telling me to do it. Hopefully that's what you wanted to talk about because if you didn't than this wasn't needed..."
"You completely read my mind, Kirumi. I was just scared that you were tricking me again." I muttered while looking down.
"Don't worry Y/N, I promise not to hurt you again." Kirumi assured me, smiling. "Now then, let's go back to the surprise."
"Where is this surprise?" I asked her.
"It's in Gonta's research lab." She answered. We walked into the school and up the stairs to get to Gonta's lab. Soon we reached the door. "The surprise is in there." Kirumi smiled then she walked away.
I opened the door to see Gonta standing in the middle of the room. Nothing seemed off about the room other than the fact there was a door at the back.
"Surprise!" Gonta shouted.
"What's the surprise part about this?" I asked him. Gonta approached me and grabbed my hand. He then led me to the door that was at the back. Slowly, he opened the door and showed to me what looked like a second research lab. My research lab to be exact.
"Gonta asked Monokuma to put Petal's and Gonta's labs together. Now Gonta and Petal are lab neighbors!" Gonta said, smiling.
"That's amazing! Did anything change in the lab?"
"Well Monokuma said that if Gonta die then this research lab will close so Petal's other research lab is there just incase."
"I'm sure you're not gonna die, Gonta." I grabbed his hands and looked at him. He bent over and hugged me.
"Gonta can spend as much time with Petal as he wants now!" Gonta squealed.
The door that led into Gonta's research lab opened up. It was Shuichi.
"Hey guys! Himiko's magic show is going to start soon." Shuichi said.
"Magic show..?" Gonta mumbled with a confused tone.
"While you were trying to get more people for the Bug Meet and Greet, Himiko said she was going to put on a Magic Show today." I told Gonta.
"Oh! Let's go then!" Gonta grabbed my hand and walked towards Shuichi. From there, we all walked to the gym with Gonta still holding my hand.
Soon, we arrived at the gym. A giant water tank stood near the window with a crowded tank of piranhas hanging above the water tank. Is the piranha tank supposed to be that full? Once we all looked around, we all got prepared for the show. Himiko stood on the water tank. She looked... nervous. Has she done this trick before? Angie greeted the crowd and explained the trick. After the explanation, Himiko jumped into the tank. Angie closed the curtain and we all sat in silence, watching the timer.
"I don't think she's coming out!" I shouted. From the corner of my eye, I see Gonta stand up. He runs up the stairs and looks inside the cage.
"Get down, your ruining the trick!" Angie yelled.
"Gonta can't see--" Gonta gets interrupted by the timer. The piranhas dropped into the tank. Angie opens the curtain and to our surprise, we see Ryoma floating in the tank.
"Ta-da!" Himiko popped up out of nowhere. She looked at us to realize how traumatized we were. When she turned around she was as scared as we were.

I didn't realize how loud I screamed because when I looked around everybody was staring at me.
"We got to get him out!" Tenko yelled.
"Gonta will help." Gonta came down and looked at the tank. "Grab Kiibo and we'll throw him at tank."
"Wait! I didn't give consent!" Tenko and Gonta grabbed Kiibo and threw him at the tank. The glass shattered and the bloody water spilled everywhere. After a few minutes everything was cleaned up.
I was trembling, I couldn't look at Ryoma's skeleton laying on the ground. While tears streamed down my face I felt Gonta hug me again. He looked just upset as I was. Still hugging me, he whispered to me.
"Gonta will protect you..." I sat there with my eyes flooding with tears.
"I'm sure you will, Gonta" Gonta let go of me and walked over to the others to help them investigate. I decided to go to Himiko's lab to see if anything helpful might be there. I will work hard to avenge Ryoma...
