Chapter 2- My New Nickname

*CLASS TRIAL 1 SPOILERS AND BLOOD/GORE*

It's been a day since I've joined this crazy game. Nothing has happened yet but this may be the last day I get to live. Yesterday Monokuma said that if someone doesn't get killed by nighttime today then he'll execute us all. I'm... afraid...

*DING DONG!*

The doorbell. I should see who it is. But let me grab a weapon just incase. I opened the door slowly to see Gonta standing there. "Hi Y/N!" He said excitedly. "Hi Gonta, was there anything you need?" I asked as I put down the knife. "Gonta was just wondering if Y/N wanted to catch bugs with Gonta." I got all flustered. Why is he asking me? Maybe I should say yes since this could be my last day alive...
"Why not." I said as I smiled. Gonta smiled and grabbed my hand. We walked out of the dorms. Gonta and I ended up looking for so long but we found nothing. As we were walking back to the dorms, this terrifying song started to play on the monitors. "What is that?" I asked. Gonta ignored my question and pulled me towards the school. When we went inside we saw Kaito. Apparently he wanted to meet with Gonta so I went with. We went downstairs to the gameroom. Kaito wanted to plan an attack on Monokuma. Right after that people started to leave. Once it was just a couple of us the body discovery announcement went off. We all ran to the library. There I witnessed something I never thought I would see...
Rantaro's dead body...
I couldn't stop staring. I was terrified. As I looked at his dead body I felt someone put their hands on my shoulders. I turned to see Gonta with the same expression as mine. I turned to hug him. I felt.. safe in his arms... But now isn't the time to think about that, I should focus on the matter at hand.

*TIMESKIP*

Never in my life have I cried so hard... she just died. Infront of eyes. I'm sure I'm not as upset as Shuichi though. Her and Shuichi had a close relationship. The guilt must be piled on him. Poor Shuichi...
As I was mourning the loss of Rantaro and Kaede I hear my doorbell ring. It's probably Gonta. I go to open the door but instead of seeing Gonta, I see Kirumi. "Oh, hello Kirumi. Did you need some-"

My voice gets cut off. I start to feel my body fall backwards and arms start to bleed.

What just happened..? She just... stabbed me. Now I can feel my stomach start to bleed out. I'm getting... weaker....

"Y/N? Y/N!"

I slowly open my eyes. Am I seeing double or is there a ton of people standing over me..? "They're awake! Everybody give them some space." I sit up and look around the room. I'm in a dorm? "Who's there? My vision is still kind of blurry..." I ask whoever is there.
"You're awake! It's me, Tenko!" I look toward where the voice came from. Soon Tenko's blurry silhouette turns into her normal self. "Everybody else is here." Tenko says quietly, hoping to get me back to my normal mindset. I look around the room one more time and the shadows slowly start to turn back into people.
"What happened..?" I ask. No one says anything. Kokichi finally breaks the silence with a response. "You almost got killed!" Everyone looks at him. "What? You guys weren't going to say anything so I did it for you!"

...I remember now.

I look over at Kirumi. She notices me staring. "Is anything wrong, Y/N? You look upset" I stand up quickly, trying not to fall down. "Y/N you shouldn't be standing, you're going to hurt yourse-"
"You did this to me." I said, cutting off her sentence. "What do you mean?" She asks. I saw the fear in her eyes. She didn't want to die. But I still needed to prove her wrong. "You! You attacked me!" I shouted. Everyone looks at Kirumi. You see her get nervous, but she keeps her cool. "Y/N you must be imagining things. I'm sure if you lay back down you'll start to get better." Kirumi gently grabs my shoulders and helps me back onto the bed. "I believe we should go, they need to get some rest." After she said that she left the room. Everyone followed behind her except one person.
"Y/N, did Kirumi do this to Y/N?" They ask. By the sound of their voice I can tell it's Gonta. I don't want to lie to him but I don't want him to hurt anyone. "It's ok, Petal doesn't have to tell Gonta."
Petal? Did he just call me... Petal? I look at him. He notices the shock on my face. "Gonta sorry! Gonta didn't mean to scare Y/N with new name." Gonta muttered, he obviously was worried. I get up and grab his hand. "I think the nickname is perfect. It was just new, that's all." Gonta smiles and hugs me. Once again it surprised me but it was nice. Maybe living here won't be so bad when he's with me.
