Chaper 12- After Execution Hours

CHAPTER 3 SPOILERS!

*Time skip (after the execution)*

What did I just witness? I'm terrified. It went from my bestfriend dying to an insane man being a serial killer. We were all so confused and worried. Kaito tried to calm us down but it didnt work, we were all still so confused. After a while we finally decided to go back to our rooms.
I closed my door behind me then slugged over to my bed. With no hesitation, I flopped over on my stomach. I groaned into my pillow and sat up, rubbing my eyes.
"I should go to sleep" I mumbled. Slowly, I took off my shoes and extra accessories then laid down and fell asleep.
*Timeskip (middle of the night)*
I woke up to the sound of my doorbell.
"Ugh, who's at my door and do they realize what time it is..?" I groaned. I got up and approached the door, opening it. "Gonta? Do you know what time it is?" I asked, rubbing my eyes.
Without answering my question, Gonta pushed himself in and closed the door behind him. He wrapped his arms around me, still saying nothing.
"Gonta...?" I mumbled.
"Gonta's scared. If Gonta couldn't protect Angie then what if Gonta can't protect Petal..." Gonta said, still holding me.
"Do you want to lay with me for the rest of the night?" I asked. Gonta nodded. I walked over to the bed and sat down, patting a spot next to me. Gonta approached the bed and sat next to me. I yawned and laid down. After I closed my eyes for a few seconds, I looked over to see Gonta wide awake. Gonta was staring at the door, obviously waiting for something to happen. I sat up and leaned my head against his shoulder.
"You can lay down you know. Being in here with me is enough protection so you can relax." I said. I slowly laid back down while pulling Gonta down with me. I turned on my side and laid my head on his chest. I closed my eyes and eventually fell asleep.

*Another time skip-*

I woke up to the sound of the morning announcement. I opened my eyes and sat up. Yawning, I stretched and looked to my right. Gonta was just waking up as well.
"Morning." I sleepily greeted Gonta. Gonta sat up and wrapped his arms around me, laying his head on mine.
"Morning Petal.." Gonta yawned. I smiled and got up.
"I'm going to get ready, if you want you can get changed in your own room." I said while grabbing clothes from my closet. I walked into my bathroom and changed.
While changing, the same thing kept running through my mind. Betrayal. I'm not saying someone here would betray me, I'm talking about Korekiyo's execution. In his execution, his own sister killed him. It didn't sit right with me. I mean, It's weird that he felt like that towards his sister but he was betrayed during the last few seconds of his life. It just doesn't feel right.

If the love of his life betrayed him, will mine betray me as well..?

"Quit having those thoughts!" I whispered to myself. I slapped myself then got finished changing. Quickly, I rushed to the dining hall. Everyone who was left stood in the dining hall. The room felt way emptier. "This doesn't feel right.." I muttered.
"Want to know what doesn't feel right to me?" Kokichi said. I raised an eyebrow at him, which made him grin. "The fact that I saw Gonta sneaking out of your room this morning~" Kokichi snickered.
"Woah! That an interesting pair!" Miu giggled, leaning against Kokichi's shoulder.
"N-Nothing happened!" I squealed. Kokichi and Miu started to laugh.
"What did you two do?" Shuichi asked, looking a little concerned.
"Gonta was just worried about Petal so he went to Petal's room to make sure they were alright, Gonta ended up sleeping over!" Gonta smiled. His smile didn't help, it only made Miu more suspicious.
We all decided to ignore the topic and eat. After eating, the rest of the Monokubs came in and gave us more trinkets as a "reward" for surviving the class trial. They gave us this key card as another motive  but unfortunately, Kokichi got ahold of it. When Kaito tried getting it back, he only got hurt. Kokichi escaped with Kaito right behind him.
"Um... let's not focus on them. I'm going to see if these.. things... go anywhere, anybody want to join?" Shuichi asked while holding the "rewards" up.
"I guess I'll go." I said.
"Alright, let's go." Shuichi smiled. He left the room, I followed him.
First, we stopped by the 3rd floor. Shuichi used the Octobrush there and opened another floor for us. There we saw Shuichi and Tsumugi's research lab. Tsumugi's lab is huge, but I think that's because theres a bunch of different stages and weird contraptions there. After we finished looking at the third floor, we went to Miu's research lab. We used the Levistone on this weird thing outside of Miu's lab. That opened up Kiibo's research lab. Kiibo didn't really like his lab too much. He wants it to have a traditional Japanese theme. I can't blame him though. Having all of that sci-fi stuff just makes him look more robotic than anything.
All of our running around and investigating took all day so by the time we were finished the nighttime announcement went off. Me and Shuichi separated ways once we got to the dorms. I opened up my door and saw Gonta sitting on my bed.
"Gonta? Why are you here?" I asked. I approached the bed and looked at him.
"Y/N left Gonta there without asking him if Gonta wanted to hangout... " Gonta mumbled. He was obviously upset and that just made me feel bad. I approached him and hugged him tightly.
"I'm sorry Gonta, I thought me and Shuichi were going to have time after investigating but I was wrong." I apologized. We sat there in silence, he didn't even hug me back. I decided to let him go. When I let him go, I looked at his face to see that he wasn't awake. Did he stay up late last night?
"I guess you really do care." I chuckled. "Now how am I going to move you onto the bed..?"

*YEAHHHH I GOT ANOTHER CHAPTER OUT! Apologies for not making this about Gonta, I just had to add in a hint of other characters. That's all for now. Have a nice day/afternoon/night!*
