Chapter 9- Caught me off Guard

I couldn't get it out of my mind. Anytime I saw something related to it my thoughts would direct back to it.

The kiss...

I didn't realize he actually know where I was going with the game. It was all so weird. I tried to take my mind off of it by hanging out with the others but it wouldn't go away. Angie must've caught on because she continued to bring me places where all I could think of was him. She brought me right outside his lab, she took me outside to look at the flowers just to remind me of my nickname. I was a lovey-dovey mess the entire time. Anytime I'd be reminded of him I just wanted to see him again but then again, I didn't. It was weird. I'd always tell myself 'just leave and go talk to him' but then I'd ignore thoughts and continue to hang out with the others.
While talking with Himiko and Tenko, I noticed something going on behind them. I couldn't really make out what was going on but it looked like Kokichi was talking to someone. I knew it wasn't Kaito, Maki, or Shuichi because they were out doing their own things. It couldn't have been anybody else because the rest of them were in their rooms. Except for one person...
"I should probably get going, I was planning on talking to someone before the day ended." I told Tenko and Himiko.
"Alright, have a nice day!" Tenko said, waving me goodbye. I waved back and started to head toward Kokichi. His manical little laughs just angered me. I tapped his shoulder and he turned to look at me.
"Ohh~ Look here. Little Y/N has come to grab their prince charming!" Kokichi snickered.
"I just wanted to talk to him..." I blushed.
"Alrighty then! You can have Gonta, I was about to ditch him anyways." Kokichi smiled, walking away. Me and Gonta sit there in silence. We had no idea what to say to eachother. I look over at Gonta and see him playing his hair. Then, an idea pops into my head.
"Gonta, want to come back to my room? I have an idea." I suggested.
"Uh.. sure!" I take Gonta's hand and drag him to my room. Gonta sits down as I grab a step ladder from the side of the room. "What's Petal doing?"
"I'm going to grab something real quick." I said. I set up the ladder infront of the bookcase that was attached to the wall. After I climbed the short ladder, I tried to grab the small vase of flowers that sat at the top of the bookcase.
"Gonta can grab that for you!" Gonta suggested, trying to get me down.
"It's fine Gonta, I got this. The vase is just a bit high up." I said, my voice straining a little bit each time I tried to grab the flowers.
"Gonta will watch the ladder then, just incase it falls over."
"Thank you, Gonta" I kept trying to grab the flowers. Everytime I struggled, the ladder seemed to move more. I was on my toes trying to grab this plant. Why is grabbing a plant so hard all of a sudden? I finally gave up and was going to let Gonta try. When I straightened out my feet my legs felt numb, causing me to fall backwards.
"Petal!" Gonta shouted. I thought I was going to hurt myself until something caught my fall. It was... Gonta.
"Is Petal alright?" Gonta asked me.
"I-I'm alright, just a little shocked." I said. As I tried to stand up I felt myself being pulled back down. "Huh? G-Gonta, I'm alright. You can let me go."
He wouldn't listen. Gonta wrapped his arms around me, holding me down. He leaned his head against my shoulder. I felt my face heat up.
"This was a funny joke, you can let me go now!" I mumbled. He still wouldn't listen. His arms just ended up wrapping around me tighter.
"You're very pretty, Y/N.." Gonta said.
(Pretty can be changed to cute or handsome, whatever makes you feel valid!)
"That has to be a joke." I laughed awkwardly. Gonta lifted up his head and kissed my cheek, making me cover up my face with my hands. He moved my hands out of my face and held them.
"Quit teasing me..." I mumbled.
"Gonta just wants to show how much he likes Y/N." Gonta said.
"You're just messing with me at this point.." I blushed.
My mind is running right now. One second I was grabbing flowers so I could do something next thing I know, I'm on the ground with Gonta holding me. It all happened out of nowhere and now I have no idea what to do.
I moved Gonta's arms a little bit so I could turn around. While still in his lap, I turn so me and him are face to face. I leaned my forehead against his and closed my eyes.
"Petal?" Gonta called my name but I ignored him. I wrapped my arms around his neck and held him from there.
"Why can't I give you hugs as well?" I giggled. Gonta smiled and held me tight. We stayed like that in comfortable silence, just holding eachother. It was nothing but me and him. He was the only person I could feel comfort around.

BDJJSHWJ I LOVE THIS CHAPTER SO MUCH! I really just wanted to add this in here! I had this scenario in my mind where he just held you so tightly yet the feeling was so comfortable and nice. I really wanted to put this chapter out here before I broke my own heart. Cuz the next blackened is like a big comfort character. Anyways, this is all for now. Have a nice day/afternoon/night!
