Sherri's POV
Teri and I walked around for a-little while longer, until we both got tired and went home.
I looked at her in the drivers seat and smiled,
"What are you smiling about?"
I guess she caught me staring, I laughed a-little.
"I'm just trying to figure how I got lucky enough to be your girlfriend."
Teri quickly looked at me and smiled
"It's weird to call you my girlfriend. You're my wife." She laughed a-little as she pulled to the house.
I couldn't help but smile, Teri would always call me her wife but I never thought much of it.
"I can call you my wife right?" Teri asked
I just looked at her and smiled more "I'm taking that as a yes?" Teri laughed and got out of the car.
Right as we got into the house I got a call.
"What could someone possibly want right now."
I grabbed my phone and noticed it was Kamar 'why is he calling me this late?'
"Hello?"
"I-I miss you. Sherri. Please forgive me. P-Please come back home." He sounded like he had been drinking,
"Kamar. Were you drinking?" I asked hoping to get a positive answer.
"I might have had a couple of beers. But I'm not drunk. Sherri please. I love you."
"Kamar. I'm coming to get the boys. I'll be there in a little while." I sighed and walked to Teri
"Hey Teri, I have to go." I said while grabbing my keys
"Why what happened?" She asked with a worried look on her face.
I shook my head, "Kamar got drunk so I'm going to go pick up the boys." She had this look of concern and anger in her face.
"Baby it's gonna be fine, I'll go there and be right back." I said as I grabbed her hands and kissed her cheek.
"Can I come with you? It's late and I don't want you driving there alone."
I looked at her and shook my head,
"I think it would be best if you stayed here. The last thing I need is for Kamar to try and hurt you." I kissed her cheek and quickly ran out of the house and drove as quickly as I could to get to Kamars house.
Once I pulled up I saw Kamar sitting outside, "sherri?" Kamar said as he stumbled toward me.
Teri's POV
It had been almost 2 hours since Sherri left, and I got a bad feeling in the pit of my stomach. I finally decided to call her,
'Please pick up.' I thought to myself.
"Hello? Sherri"
"I-I'm on my way back home. I'll be there in about 10 minutes"
"Sherri are you crying? What Happened?"
"I-I'm fine I'll see you in a minute."
I couldn't help but be worried.
