~Sherri's POV~
"T-Teri. I-I'm still married" I look at her for a minute, I can't feel anything in my body and it almost like I can't breath.
"Sherri. H-he cheated on you." Teri said in a kind of embarrassed tone.
"But we haven't gotten a divorce yet. I am still legally married to that man." I could feel the tears coming back but, I tried to fight them back.
"Sherri you can't stay with him!! He cheated on you! He slept with another woman!"
"That's not the point Teri!! I'm still married! I still have this ring on finger!!" I hold up my hand in her face, she just didn't understand that I still loved Kamar and that I was still married.
~Teri~
Sherri held her hand up in my face to show me the ring. But I don't care. He cheated! He made her cry! I would never hurt her like that! "Fuck this ring!" I took the ring off her finger and threw it. I don't know what came over me! Just the sight of that ring made my heart drop.
"Teri!!" She sounded like she was upset, but the look in her eyes said she didn't care. "You can't just do that!" I quickly grabbed her face, "Sherri. The second I meet you. I knew you were different. I don't know what it was. But now I know." My lips slowly meet hers, I expected her to push me away but she pulled me closer. It's not that I didn't mind it, it just took me for a turn! "Sherri. Please." I put my forehead against hers and look into her eyes.
We stood like this for a couple of minutes, until she moved away. "Teri. I'm still married.." She slowly moved away and grabbed her things and walked out. I stood there, staring at the door, for an hour or two hoping she would come back. When I finally figured out she wasn't coming back I went upstairs to my bedroom and laid in bed, thinking if I should go find or stay out of it. I eventually reach for my phone and called Sherri.
~Sherri's POV~
I sat in my car, hoping she would come after me but, when I knew she wouldn't I left. I didn't know where I was going. But I knew I had to go somewhere. I decided to go to my favorite little pizza place around the corner. I sat there alone until I felt my phone vibrate. I picked it up hoping it was who I thought it was, "Hello?"
"Sherri. Please come back. I'm sorry for kissing you. For throwing your ring. I'm sorry. I promise I won't do it again. I want to be here for you because, I know you are going through a hard time. Please, just come back."
I just sat there in silence for a minute or so, "Sherri pl-"
"Okay. I'll come back. But only until I feel like I should go and face Kamar."
