Chapter 26: Escape Buddy

"So, what now?" I ask Dream after he made Punz bring me to his house.

"You're staying with Punz now." Dream states.

"What? Why?" I ask him confused. "You helped Techno escape, why can't I go too?"

"Because I need to keep an eye on you." He says while nodding at Punz as a way to communicate without me knowing what they're saying.

"Why would you want to keep an eye on me? I'm perfectly fine on my own and you know this." I tell him, getting angry about the fact that he thinks he can just lock me up here.

"You're more important in this fight than you think, Nightmare." He says, spitting out my name with disgust, disgust I had never seen come from him before. It seemed almost as if he was, acting?

"I don't understand how you think I'm more important in all of this than Techno or Tommy." I tell him and he just smirks.

"Let's just say you bring everyone together." Dream says and I immediately looked at him in shock. "Punz, you make sure you keep an eye on her."

"Of course, Dream." Punz answers with a nod.

"See you soon." He greets and leaves us two alone.

"He's going to turn everyone against each other by using me isn't he?" I ask Punz and he lets out a sigh.

"Maybe." He mumbles.

"I'm telling you! You and Sapnap could be brothers for all I know." I say and Punz just rolls his eyes.

"We're not that similar." He grumbles and I just look at him with raised eyebrows.

"Yes, you are that similar."

"Agreed." Phil mumbles while he tries to take off his ankle monitor.

"That's not going to just come off." I say with a sigh and look through his chests. "Put your feet on the anvil."

"You're not going to slice off my foot right?" Phil asks me as he sees me with an iron axe.

"No, just, keep your eyes closed." I tell him and he does. I pull the axe up and swing it down, hitting his ankle monitor at exactly the right place. It falls off and Phil immediately jumps up.

"You did it!" He yells and gives me a hug, slipping something into my pocket without Punz noticing.

"Now put it on the armor stand and go to the sewers." I tell him and he nods. To Punz that was probably just a normal nod, but I knew exactly what it meant.

We got your back, stay safe.

"I really need to go to the bathroom." I tell Punz and he lets out a sigh. "It'll just take five minutes, if I'm not answering after that I give you permission to break down the door."

"Alright, there's a bathroom in the community house, I'll wait outside." He tells me and I smile.

"Thank you!" I tell him and quickly go inside.

I walk over to where Tommy had told me the entrance to his sewers was. Let's just say it wasn't exactly the nicest smell coming from there, but I didn't really have a choice.

I jumped into it and slid all the way through down, ending up in the sewers in a couple seconds.

"Took you long enough." My escape buddy told me and I just smiled at him.

"Never rush a woman, Ranboo." I tell him and he just smiles.

"I'll remember that." He says with a smirk.

"We have exactly three minutes to get the hell out of here, you ready?" I ask him.

"As ready as I'll ever be."
