I wake to rustling in the Jones camp. For a moment I think I'm still in Pan's camp till I hear an unfamiliar voice.
"Liam, we should get going. The boy said the path to the Dreamshade is close so we can probably find it today."
"Killian, do you really trust that boy over your own king?!"
The events of the day prior all flash back. Liam, that must be Killian's brother. But who is this boy they speak of? For the first time in the few hours I'd been observing the brothers there was a tone of hostility in Killian's voice.
"That's not what I said! I'm simply suggesting we humor him, we have nothing else to go on anyway. Worst comes to worst we know another place the Dreamshade isn't." Not bad logic. After hearing more of the conversation my own logic kicks in. This boy they speak of, at first I thought it could be anyone but back at camp it seemed as none of the boys knew about them. It must be Pan, but if he didn't want them to leave why would he help them complete their mission? Could it be Felix? He does want them to help me off the island and he can keep a secret when Pan wants him to. I rein my thoughts in just in time to see the brothers Jones walking away, it's time to report to Pan. I've been gone to long already so I begin making my way back.

As I approach camp Felix and some other lost boys are circled around a small fire roasting some sort of animal for lunch. Felix looks up from a spear he's whittling into shape.
"Ash?" Theres both surprise and question in his voice. With that the other boys look up at me like they hadn't seen me there before.
"What I'm gone for a day and you guys forget about me?" I smile and the other boys laugh, Felix doesn't.
"Pan's been waiting for you." he says standing up most likely to lead me to Pan's hut.
"He's the only one?" I stare into Felix and he holds my gaze for a moment before looking down and roughly grabbing my arm, dragging me along. I shake him off.
"Stop, I know where I'm going!" I throw him a flaming glance. He just looks at me, his eyes are shallow but rich with emotion. He turns around and flops back around the fire, looking into it as though it has something of his. I make my way to Pan's hut where I take a deep breath before rapping roughly on the door.
"Who is it!" he sounds frustrated, joy.
"Ash." I hear rustling as he opens the door.
"Hello, how was your little camp out?" he leads me to his long oak table where all the interrogations are done.
"Good, got some thing you might be interested in." I flop into one of the leather chairs.
"Oh really?" every conversation with Pan is a slimy, moody, negotiation. I'm tempted to call his bluff but it's to early, if I'm gonna get what I want I need to keep my cool.
"Their here for Deamshade, sent by the king of their land. The older one, Liam, is some sort of leader for him. He's with his brother Killian who seems to have a pretty good head." I don't say anything about the boy.
"Well, well, well. Look at our little lost girl doing something useful." I clench my jaw trying desperately to hold my toung. "Oh calm down it's a joke though you have been a great help, stay here tonight and you can get back at it in the morning." I'm confused, I didn't tell Pan anything he doesn't already know. He smirks and opens the door. I leave with more questions than answers and a feeling this has more to do with me than the brothers Jones.
