Trouble

I peek through a small whole in the side of my hut where silvery moon light spills in.  Pan is lurking around outside.

"It's Pan" I look to Felix worried, his expression not much different.  He tells me to hand him my knapsack and starts rummaging through it pulling out some of the fruit from earlier.

"What are you doing?" I whisper as the door begins to open. Felix suddenly looks angry

"Let's see what else you've been stealing from me!" his voice is gruff. I see Pan walk in sporting his usual smirk. Felix pulls the small dagger I keep tucked away out of my sack.

"Where did you get this?!" I can see the smoke blowing from his ears.  Why is he so mad? He's the one that gave me that blasted the...Ohhhhh

"Where do you think? You should learn to keep a better eye on your belongings or they might just...disappear." I smirk and see Felix stifle a laugh.  Pan's still at the door and I can see wheels turning behind those pricing green eyes. I don't think he believed us but I'm not giving him the satisfaction of my surrender.

"She's right" Pan slinks closer to us and his eyes shift from Felix's to mine and back again "If you really care about something it wouldn't easily be stolen, would it?" Felix's anger is no longer an act, the tension surrounding us is thick and uncomfortable but then Pan turns to me.

"But anyway I came to discuss some things with Ash not settle rivalries" I have a feeling he left out one very crucial word "Felix why don't you go stow that somewhere safe so it doesn't...disappear."  Felix shoots me a glance and I lock his gaze to say I'll be fine.  He slips out the already open door as Pan perches himself on the stool across from my cot.

"So, you've been keeping a close eye on the Jones brothers I trust." I can feel Pan searching my gaze for unspoken information but I'm sure to keep it locked away in the depths of my memory.

"But of course" I say with a smile "and what I hear their mission is almost complete.  If your gonna make a move I'd do it sooner than later, they hope to be back in their land by this time next week." This time I search Pan, I have to figure out what he's scheming.

"Yes well timing IS everything"

"What are your plans for them anyway?" I don't think I'll get a straight answer but it's worth it to try.

"Nothing that concerns you"

"Oh I think it very much does concern me. I've got time and energy invested in your little project not to mention the bore it is to listen to them jabber on about everything from their 'great accomplishments' to the meaning of a perfectly timed crimson sky.  Besides if harm is to done to them I'd much like to hear of it so I can fantasize about their demise while I'm being put to sleep by all their foolish daydreams of heroic titles." I've never had the courage to stand up to Pan before yet here I am, maybe it's the comfort of knowing I've got people in my corner now.

"Well well well someones found their voice haven't they?" Pan smirks, it's revolting as always "If you must know the older one will die.  But as I said timing is everything." I try not to look shocked and force a smile.

"For now though I'd like you to keep an eye on their process" Pan turns to walk out but then stops "and I trust your not getting to close to them.  As you've learned people aren't always what they seem" he doesn't wait for a response and slinks away into the moon light.  Another late night, more unanswered questions.  One thing is for sure though, Liam is going to die.  If Pan wants someone dead theres not escaping it.  I fall asleep watching all the possible scenarios in which Killian's brother meets his end trying to intervene but never successful.  Whatever the next week entails it's safe to say it's laced with trouble.
