My thoughts are interrupted by a scuffling outside. I can tell by the steady, rhythmic gate that it's Felix, Pan's right hand man. I stuff my journal into the bottom of a chest with all the others and flop comfortably onto my cot. I try to look calm and relaxed despite my anxious thoughts. Very rarely dose Felix come bearing good news, he's always assigned to Pan's dirty work.
"Didn't your mother ever teach you to knock? Oh wait, that's right.." He cuts me off before I can finish my snarky comment.
"As much as I'd enjoy running you through with a sword Pan says your useful, I would have to agree." He says the last part with a revolting smirk. I shudder, being the only girl in Pan's ruleless camp of lost boys isn't always easy.
I'm lead into Pan's hut where he sits waiting at a large oak table. As we enter he looks at me with the same mischievous grin that seems to always be plastered on his face.
"Well hello Asha, so glad you could join me! Say I've got a little job for you."
