—————— Jessa's POV———————

I wake to glass breaking downstairs.

This always fucking happens, My parents have been fighting a lot recently and I don't know why.

I heard that the Quidditch tournament got attacked by death eaters.

My father is a death eater. I'm not so sure about my mum though.

But to be honest I don't care. They both think I'm a mistake and a disgrace to the family.

I also have a brother named Liam and a sister named Scarlett. Both of them are older than me but I have a better relationship with Liam than Scarlett.

Last year she told all of her friends that I'm a slut. That slept with every boy in sight.

Even though I haven't slept with anyone. By choice. But I'm not ready to tell anyone why.

I used to go to an Academy called Beaubaxtons. I only had one friend and she was a few years older than me so it didn't work out in the end.

Anyways I'm going to Hogwarts this year, My Mum tells me I will be with Draco and I will be fine. I don't agree with her.

The only thing he's interested in is being a fucking ass. So I will just stay away from him and find a different set of friends.

I decided to walk downstairs so I can eat something.

I get to the kitchen and open the glass doors.

"Good morning Jessamine," My Mum says like she's already bored with me.

"Morning Mum" I sigh.

I grab a bowl and fill it with cereal and sit on the barstool looking out the bay window.

"Morning Jessa" My brother comes in and sits next to me with a cup of coffee.

"Morning Liam" I smile.

"Excited to go to the same school as me?" He nudges me.

"So excited," I say sarcastically.

"You'll be fine, You have Draco" He chuckles.

"Shut up" I smirk.

Liam and Draco are best friends even though Liam is a year older than Draco.

"God if you two weren't brother and sister you would be smashing right now" My sister comes in.

"What the hell? Gross" I slap my palm to my forehead.

"Did you hear about the Quidditch tournament?" Liam asks Scarlett and me.

"Yes, I heard that the death eaters raided the campsite," I whispered so Father couldn't hear.

"Do you think Dad was there?" Scarlett asks.

"He was gone that night so I think so" Liam responds and shivers.

"I think I have finished my breakfast" I mutter and put my bowl in the sink.

I walk out of the kitchen and up the stairs.

Liam, Scarlett, and I have our own floor. I'm on the top floor I think I have the best view. Liam on the second level and Scarlett on the third level.

I finally get to my floor and go to my mini-library. The two doors leading into it are encrusted with gold. I open the doors and walk in.

I walk to one of the shelves and skim my fingers over every title. I stop at the 'girl in red' It's one of my favorite books I've ever read.

I pick 'Dancing in the rain' from the shelf and sit on the leather couch in the middle of the room and read for hours.

I close the book and look out the window it was pouring rain.

When I was younger I would go out into the middle of the field once filled with happiness now filled with my sadness and everything that comes with me.

I would go out and lay on the wet grass after I would be punished by the Carrows and let everything Amycus and Alecto would do to me wash off.

The littlest things that I would do to be sent over there. Bad grades, not keeping my voice down, embarrassing my family those kinds of things.

I won't tell anyone what exactly they would do to me but all I can say is that it isn't good.

I snap out of my thoughts and walk out of the library.

I walk into my room and hear tapping on my window, I walk over to the window and open it to see my owl Henrietta holding a letter with her beak.

I take the letter give her some treats I had in my back pocket and open the letter.

Dear Jessa, I hope you're well. I heard that I may be coming to Hogwarts this year so I hope to see you soon.

Love, Fleur.

I close the letter and rip it in half.
At the end of last year, my parent found out she was half-blood. That was the last time I would ever see her.

I do hope that I see Fleur but I just don't want my parents to know that Beaubaxtons is coming to Hogwarts.

"JESSAMINE DINNER" My mum shouts.

"COMING MUM" I shout back.

I walk out of my bedroom and down the stairs.

I walk into the dining room and walk to the long ass table that is way too big for our small family.

I take a seat near the front of the table and look around to see if anyone else was here yet.

"Ahh sister you were up in your room for the whole day, what were you doing?" Scarlett enters the dining room.

"Reading" I sigh.

"Oh," She looks disgusted.

She takes the seat that is at the front of the table. Like she's the queen.

"What were you reading?" Liam comes over and sits next to me.

"Dancing in the rain" I smile.

"Never read it lend me it some time?"

"Sure"

"Eat up children you have a big day tomorrow" My mum enters and our house-elf lolly dishes out our food to each of us.

"Thank you" I smile at lolly.

"No problem Miss Rivera" She smiles weakly.

....

I finish my food and hand it to lolly.

I get up from my chair and walk out of the dining room.

"Hey, Jessa wait" Liam stops me.

"You want to go out and look at the stars before we have to leave for Hogwarts?" He asks.

"I would love to" I smile.

We walk to the foyer and out of the double doors.

I run to the field and lay down right in the middle of it. I stare up into the sky and wonder what else could be up there?

Liam finally caught up and lays down next to me.

"You're fast" He laughs.

"I know" I smirk.

We joke around still staring into the sky.

"I should go to sleep," I say.

"I should too" Liam sighs.

We walk back into the manor and I walk up to my room.

I lay on my bed and think of how the hell I will survive tomorrow.
