I was walking to breakfast when I saw Liam hurriedly walking towards me,
"Hey Leo" I smile
"I fixed it" He whispers
"What do you mean?" I ask
"The Carrows," He says
"What did you do?"
"I told Mother and Father," He says while I start to feel nauseated so I lean against the wall
"You did what"
"Didn't I just help you?" I push off from the wall and walk past him not taking my steps in a straight line, tripping over my own feet ignoring all the calls coming my way.
I finally get outside and drop to my knees, was I so stupid to miss what I could've told Liam? My parents know. They have to. They hear my screams, pleading for help.
"Jess" Liam sighs as he finally caught up to me
"Leave, please" I slowly say
"No" He wraps his arms around me as if to protect me
"I did the right thing, right?" He asks
"Does it look like that?" I ask as an owl swoops in above us and drops a letter labeled Carrows. I jump away from Liam and stood up,
"Jess what is that," He asks while my word starts spinning
"Jess" Liam steps closer
"I have to go" I quickly step past Liam. Not fast enough as he grasped my wrist
"Jessa you can't just run away from me, I want to know what I did," He says panicked
"I don't know how to tell you," I say ashamed
"Just fucking tell me" He breathes
"Mum and Father have already told them" I hold the letter up
Silence
"You helped me by knowing," I say
"I didn't help you Jess" He rakes his hand through his hair
"You didn't know" I put my hand on his arm
"I should've, and now it's too late"
"I will figure it out," I say as I tear the letter in two and grab his hand trying to calm down as we walk to the great hall.
"Ahh, a little family reunion I see?" Scarlett comes from behind us
"I guess so," I say while still walking
"Did you know our sissy is hanging out with mudbloods after mummy and daddy told us not to?" Scarlett loops an arm through Liam's
"You are?" He turns to me
"Yes but-"
"Why would you do that" Liam says disgustedly
"I thought you were on my side," I say
"I was Jessa, but not when you're talking to mudbloods" He mutters
"Tell him who you were talking to" Scarlett sneers
"Why would I do that?" I detach from my reunion and storm up the hill to the door to take me back into the warmth because it was now winter.
"Hey Jessa" Cedric wraps an arm around my shoulders as now we both walk to the great hall
"Hey," I say shortly
"What's wrong?" He stops walking
"Family problems" I sigh as I rest my head upon his shoulder while we start walking again,
