Herophine: beyond after

Chapter 7

"Do I look extremely pregnant" I say as I look in the mirror of hero and I's suite here in LA.

This past month we've been in LA doing press for the movies, photo shoots and interviews with countless of people.

No one has really noticed my pregnancy because my bump isn't that big yet and I do a great job at hiding it.

I'm almost three months pregnant and I can finally see the smallest bump forming.

I lift up my shirt and feel around my stomach.

Hero wraps his arms around my waist and kisses along my neck.

"You look extremely sexy" he whispers and I can't help but laugh and lay my head on him.

Tonight, my family will also be in LA so we are meeting for dinner. The only reason my parents and sister are in the states because Katherine had a charity event and my parents of course were there to support her.

Hero is so excited to meet my family, I want him to meet them, it's my mother I'm worried about. She hasn't talked to me in a month since she found out about the pregnancy.

Hero and I are hosting dinner at our small suite to create that private setting since all eyes will be on us in the public, especially if katherine is spotted.

"I'm not sure if I want to wear the dress or stick with the pants and blouse" I say as we study my outfit options

"Wear what you feel more comfortable in" he says

"The pants and blouse it is then" I say

"What time is the catering going to be here" I ask hero as we change into our dinner outfits

"It should be here soon actually" hero says as he checks his watch for time

"It needs to hurry up. I'm sure my mom is going to be here 30 minutes early just to pick at everything I did wrong" I say beginning to freak out and hero comes to my side and stops me.

"Love, take a breather, everything is going to be just fine tonight. We will get through this dinner together" he says

"You're right" I say taking a breath

He pecks my lips and gives me a reassuring smile that has me over the moon.

"So Hero, are you working on any new projects" my mom says at the dinner table, bringing up intense conversation

"I am. I still have brand deals with many companies and a lot of auditions I'm waiting back to hear from but my agent and I are very hopeful about things" hero says and I look up at him with a smile

He's always been so hard working.

"Well that's a bummer you haven't heard anything back yet" my mom says popping a piece of chicken into her mouth.

Before I can reply back on that to my mother, my sister speaks up.

"Well that's very common with these directors. They love to take their sweet time" my sister, Katherine says and looks over at me with a wink.

I mouth to her a "thank you" and she smiles

"That's true darling" my mom says and the table goes silent.

"So how are you feeling sunshine. Is that little bugger giving you any problems in there" my dad says referring to the baby
