Herophine: beyond after

Chapter 6

Jo pov

I flip a pancake and feel strong arms wrap around me.

"Good morning love" he says laying his head on my shoulder

"Good morning" I say leaning up and pecking his lips.

I've been in London for a week now. Met his parents, they were so excited to find out about the baby. I have yet to tell my parents, I just feel like they aren't going to take the news well. His friends are nice, we've only hung out with them once so far but for the most part of this week it has been hero and I growing closer together.

He leans me against the counter and I giggle as his hands travel along my body.

I hold a hand to his face and gently kiss him. He lifts me onto the counter and I wrap my arms around his neck.

He places a hand on my stomach and touches the smallest bump that is forming on my belly.

"I still haven't told my parents" I say looking down at his hands

"I think you should let them know soon" he says putting a strand of hair behind my ear

"I know. I just don't know how well they will take it" I say

"I was so nervous to let my parents know but at the end of the day you saw how supportive they were" he says kissing my head and I nod.

"You're right" I say hugging him.

I look over at the pancake on the stove and flip it again.

While Hero went out for a run with his friend. I decided now would be a good time to video chat my parents and tell them the news.

They answer the call almost immediately and I want to hang up with how nervous I am.

"Josephine, honey, it's so good to hear from you" my mom says brightly.

"I know, long time no see. I miss you dearly" I say

"We miss you too honey. We've been so busy with Katherine and her new show. You know we had to come out and support" my mom says and I try so hard not to roll my eyes.

It's always them and Katherine vs. me. It has always been like that.

"Honey where are you? That doesn't look like your apartment" my mom questions

"It's not. There's something I wanted to talk to you about. Is dad around?" I ask and she calls for my dad

"Hello sunshine, what's up" my dad says smiling through the screen.

It has always been my dad and I against the world. My mom and I have an okay relationship but she definitely favors Katherine more than me. Katherine is more successful, Katherine has always been smarter, so my mom took pride in that, instead of sharing my accomplishments.

I already know this whole pregnant thing isn't going to sit well with her.

"So there's something I wanted to tell you" I say

"Go ahead josephine. You know how I feel about you stalling. Just spit it out" my mom says

"I'm pregnant" I simply say and my moms first relation is to laugh

"This is a joke right" she asks

"I'm not joking" I say more serious

"What do you mean you're pregnant? Who are you even having sex with? Where do you get the time to do something so reckless as that? You're supposed to be reading scripts, auditioning for roles. Not fooling around with boys" my mom blurts out
