sry this is a much shorter chapter but i wanted to get some final words in before the big battle lmao. anyways next chapter will have some dream moments and will be pretty long so be prepared:)

also thx for 200 reads and 15 votes pog! i was literally thanking u guys for 100 like two hours ago???? that's insane anyways onto the story

a few hours later, tubbo, tommy and y/n all returned to l'manburg. they got fairly good materials, but having more time would've been nice, except wilbur was strict about their return being before nightfall.

the trio had collected quite a few stacks of iron, along with some diamonds and things to enchant and make potions. they also hunted for a bit in order to get more food. once they made it back home, they quickly got to work in turning the materials to actual items.

and finally their day's work paid off, as the three had made a total of 5 diamond swords (3 of which were enchanted), some very strong armor, an enchanted bow, and a shield. because tubbo and tommy already had a shield and armor they let y/n have it, instead claiming one of the enchanted diamond swords.

deciding it was best to tuck in early and get a good night's rest, they did exactly that, ensuring enough sleep for the battle in the morning. however, it was easier said than done, as every member of l'manburg tossed and turned all night.

everyone put on a brave facade, but deep down they all knew that dream and his men were stronger and more prepared for the war. it was true at the beginning of the war, was true now, and would probably be true continuously, which put off the mood by a lot. the l'manburgians spent their night trying to fall asleep, but every time they closed their eyes they pictured one of the dream smp slaughtering their friends and family.

and so, the next morning, as everyone spent their final moments before the battle preparing, dark circles could be found under all of their eyes. their moves were much slower than usual, and their reaction times were delayed. perhaps this was to blame for what the later outcome would be- who knows.
