First of all, some background needs to be laid out.

How did I start playing AQW (Adventure Quest Worlds)?

Around the year 2008, I was looking for games to play online. Why online? I wasn't very interested in having game consoles during that time. I was happy with my DS but I wanted to try out something new with my laptop. So, I started searching for games coming across Runescape, Maplestory, and several others that I have forgotten. One of the games I came across with was Dragonfable. I started playing Dragonfable or DF. It was fun during that time but not as fun due to me not being able to have full access of the game, meaning that I didn't pay $20 for full access. Eventually, I fell off. I started playing Maplestory more. I forgot Dragonfable for the rest of the year.

2009 came and I just moved to a new house with my family. My younger brother was like me. We didn't have any gaming consoles. Only a DS and a laptop and we were happy. We didn't ask for XBox or PSP or anything else. We were happy with our DS and laptop. Heck, we didn't even have a phone. Anyways, I entered my brother's room one day and saw him playing a game. I asked what it was and he said, "AQ Worlds." It looked interesting but I didn't play because I wanted to play the game but because I liked annoying my bro.

I made an account and named it *beep* "X" like I said in the introduction for story purposes. I was a noob. The opening of the game was funny enough. You start at the top of a mountain where you get hit by lightning and you roll down the sharp mountain. I have a very simple humor. I mostly laugh at everyting. Back to the game. I only planned to play it for an hour or two just to annoy but eventually, I got into the game. I started playing it more.

The storyline was amazing for me during the time. It wasn't the usual Good vs Evil even though it starts like that, but it introduced a new concept where both sides need to come to a truce to beat a new enemy: Chaos. I thought it was something new and interesting. I played it. During that time, I don't remember whether the First Lord of Chaos was available. (It's been almost 6 years for goodness sake).

For awhile, I played the game with my bro. We would log in at the same time, complete quests together, kill bosses, and just train together. That was big between me and him. We always got into fights but AQW was something that kept us calm and more like brothers instead of rivals.

He eventually quit by the time when the song "Party Rock Anthem" by LMFAO was released and moved into another game by AE called Epic Duel. AE or Artix Entertainment had several games during that time. One of them was the game I played back in 2008 called Dragonfable.

Eventually, I quit AQW to play Epic Duel. I played Epic Duel for about three to four months and went back to AQW. My bro stayed at Epic Duel while I came back to AQW. For the first time, I decided to spend $20 to get some access to the game and enjoy it more. I felt like a pro having a blue-colored name instead of a white-colored name. I was a paladin while the others were just either a Mage, Warrior, Thief, or Healer. The four basic classes of every game.

I started soloing bosses more. I owned people more in pvp. I was unstoppable. But eventually, I got more involved in high school and quit AQW for another four months after playing another AE game called Mech Quest and the original Adventure Quest. At around June 2010, I quit AQW.
