A few days later Aurora was coming out of Defense Against the Dark Arts with her dorm mate, Jude, when she realized something. She hadn't asked Hermione to be her girlfriend yet. She stopped in the middle of the hall as she realized this, confusing Jude who gave her a strange look which she ignored. She was feeling incredibly foolish and slightly embarrassed about it.

"You okay there, Aurora?" Jude asked.

"Yeah, just go on without me. I've got to do something. See you at dinner!" She called behind her at the still confused Jude. She turned in the other direction and jogged to the greenhouses.

She had an idea, but first she had to make sure it would work out. Once she got to the greenhouses she waited outside for the few people who had chosen Herbology to finish up their class. She hadn't expected them to be finished so late after her class had been, but it worked out well for her. Once people started to leave for the Great Hall she was watching the crowd for a sandy haired Gryffindor boy. She saw him near the back and bounded over to him.

"Hullo, Neville. How you doing?" she beamed happily up at him. He looked surprise to see her, but smiled down at her.

"Hi there, Aurora. I'm doing great. Herbology is my favorite class, so I've actually had a great day. How about you? Did you have a nice day?" he said. She smiled up at him and nodded, glad he was having a great day. Neville was so soft spoken and kind, she loved talking to him.

"So, what brings you here, then?" Neville asked as they made their way through the castle and to the great hall.

"Cant I come see my favorite Gryffindor?" she said, grinning at him. He raised an eyebrow at her.

"Fine, you got me. I need a favour." she said sheepishly. "Or, maybe not a favor, but more like advice."

"Hit me with it."

"Where do you get all your plants?" she asked, coming straight to the point.

Neville looked slightly surprised at her question, but was quick to answer. She noticed the eagerness in his voice and she couldn't help but think he was the sweetest boy she had ever met.

"Professor Sprout lets me have the ones that are too sick to use in class, so that I can nurse them back to health for her, but otherwise I go to Noltie's Botanical Novelties in Hogsmeade. They've got the cutest little plants and they sell pots as well. They also have a shop in Diagon Alley and its so big in there. They have everything you could possibly need!" Neville exclaimed delighted. She smiled at his happiness, glad she was friends with him.

"The one here in Hogsmeade is very small, but they have the essentials." Neville added to finish of. "I didn't know you were interested in Herbology, Aurora." Neville said curiously. She wasn't really, but who doesn't like plants.

"Well, I'm not really. I just wanted a plant for my dorm room." she said. It was partially true, so she didn't feel bad for not telling Neville the whole truth, although she was sure Neville wouldn't care that she liked girls and was going to ask Hermione to be her girlfriend this weekend.

She said goodbye to Neville as they entered the great hall and went to sit down beside Jude once more at the Hufflepuff table.

That evening she found Hermione before she disappeared into her common room and asked her to Hogsmeade the next day. Hermione was ecstatic and Aurora had blushed terribly when Hermione had kissed her in the middle of the hall. Luckily there had been no one around.

The next day she met Hermione by the Entrance Hall and they walked down to Hogsmeade together. They first went to Tomes & Scrolls where Hermione purchased a book about astronomy  which she said they could bring with them next time they went out stargazing. Aurora thought that was very thoughtful of her and had told her as much. After that Aurora began to lead the way to Noltie's Botanical Novelties without telling Hermione where they were going, which lead to some questions.
