MELODY'S POV

So, hi...
There are about three weeks left of school before the end of term so teachers are starting to prepare everyone for the upcoming tests- We have them every term, on every subject.

Anyway, getting to the point: my mother is now forcing me to go to school no matter how "sick" I am! What kind of mother is that? So what If im not sick, I have a freedom of choice!
HUMAN RIGHTS! MY HUMAN RIGHTS ARE BEING TAKEN AWAY HERE!

Surpassing my usual, repetitive, morning routine, I get out of the house and make my way over to catch the bus.

What time is it?
Oh cheese umbrella!
I'm going to miss my bus! I start sprinting for my life- Lol not literally school still sucks Idc- so basically I start walking slightly faster, then start a jog, evolve in to a run and then -really- I erupt into a sprint. Don't you think im becoming a goody-goody, its just that i just saw my bus catching up behind me.

And im nowhere near the bus stop.

Meaning the bus, can't stop.

Just to my luck, as the bus is zooming past, it screeches on a huge, gigantic, big-bang sized mud puddle. Making it tsunami all over me. Joy(!)

I take my walk of shame to school, like... Literally. I have no other way of getting there.

Well at least I know that nothing else can go wrong right? They say that bad luck comes in threes; I hope.

After a few more minutes I hear a car stop to a halt beside me.

"who managed to get you so wet?" he smart mouthed.

Him.

Luke.

"your grandad!" I sass.

I dont know why I said that. That was laaammmeeee!

"well I have to ask for some advice from him, considering that he can do that from a grave."

Damn him and his muscled long legs, and broad shoulders, and the perfect shade of blond hair, and crystal blue eyes!

"damn you!" I say out loud.

"no but seriously what happened?" he asks.

Well it was the school bus. So technically its the school's fault. I could sue!

"school. School happened" I breathe.

"oh. Well see ya!" he salutes.

"wait!" I pause. "aren't you going to give me a ride?"

"hell no! Have you seen how much mud is on you? And how clean my car is? Not today Melody!"

"really?" im- im hurt.

I know that we dont know each other much but he still helped me a lot. He was a good person when others weren't.

"listen I-" he stops himself, "I have to go...im sorry" and then he drives off.

I wonder where he's going. It must be something important to ditch me like that.

Why was he even coming here at this time anyway? The upper year start school at 10am. Not 8:30 am.

You might be wondering why im not freaking out about the mud stained clothes, to answer your question, I have been a bit more prepared for "accidents".

I packed some spare clothes in my locker in case "the populars" tried to pull another clothes stunt on me again.

That's coming in handy.
