Request from @Belle5555: I have a request! Could you do a platonic Dr. Strange x Reader where the reader is the apprentice?

Dr. Strange is tasked to keep (Y/N) in line while she is learning the Mystic Arts, but he finds it a lot harder than he previously thought.

I'm not very good at romantic fluff, so wish me luck here (I'll do my best). This will also be in 3rd person because this oneshot is easier to write in that POV.

"I am tasking you with training (Y/N). You will be her master," the Ancient One told Doctor Strange.

Strange stared at the girl sitting in front of them. Well, he believed that she was supposed to be sitting. It was hard to tell, as her legs were bouncing up and down and her fingers always fidgeting with each other as small orange sparks flew onto the floor.

Strange raised his eyebrows.

"I've never trained someone before."

The Ancient One smiled softy.

"Doctor, most Masters have an apprentice. I understand that with Thanos and Dormammu out of the way, you will have plenty of time to help (Y/N)."

Strange looked back at (Y/N). She didn't even seem to be paying attention to the conversation. Instead, she did a small hand motion that caused an orange, electric looking beam to fly spring out from her wrists.

Strange didn't want to assume anything, but it seemed as if (Y/N) was already trained. After all, he just saw her perform an upper-level weapon from memorization.

The Ancient One chuckled at (Y/N)'s scrunched up face.

"I know what you're thinking, Doctor. I believe that with a little more experience, she could easily become one of the strongest of us."

At her words, (Y/N) snapped her head up. "Really?!" she exclaimed, standing up suddenly as she accidentally knocked the tea off of the table. "Oh, sorry," she stuttered.

"It's alright," the Ancient One said. "This is your new Master --"

"-- Doctor Strange!" (Y/N) finished, not focused on the tea anymore, but on Strange himself. "It's nice to meet you, I'm (Y/N)."

She held out her hand for a handshake, which was hesitantly returned by Strange. She beamed, but her eyes were hinted with sadness. Why? He didn't know.

Strange realized how talented she was, but all magic comes with a price.

"Why are you so serious?!" (Y/N) sighed as she successfully got an apple to the other side of the room using a series of portals. "You haven't said more than 32 words in the past 10 minutes. Am I doing something wrong?"

Strange quickly shook his head. Nothing was wrong, but perhaps that was the problem. He had no idea why the Ancient One was having him train (Y/N) -- she was already at the skill level he was.

"Have you trained in combat before?" Strange asked, trying to find something that he could further her abilities.

(Y/N) visibly gulped and her fingers started fidgeting again. Her eyes quickly glanced around the room as if she was searching for something. Strange followed her line of sight, but couldn't find anything that stood out.

Strange was about to say something, but (Y/N) said something first.

"It's been a while, but I think  I still remember some things."
