You Could Have Just Trusted Me

Request from @Disneygal71: Can you do one where (Y/N) is the villain because the Avengers didn't trust them enough?

The Avengers really thought that you wouldn't have been able to escape again.

You guessed that even "The World's Mightiest Heroes" didn't even have a brain sometimes. They couldn't have possibly forgotten that you had once lived with them, worked with them, and were even their friends.

But maybe when you're on America's number 1 hit list, all respect dies away.

It wasn't all your fault. You had been hired as an intern a long time ago. Maybe the lab explosion you had accidentally caused had been your fault, but no one was severely injured. In fact, it was how you got your powers in the first place.

Peter had been very excited when he had figured out you had powers like Luke and Anakin Skywalker. That's what you both named your powers - the Force. It had been a lot of fun at first. Setting the dinner table was a breeze and grabbing the TV remote from across the room was quite nice. Even Tony would pat you on the back when you beat Captain America in a match.

But then things started to happen that scared you and your teammates. Every nightmare you had of poorly fought battles and terrorist attacks caused the glass in your room to shatter. Your eyes would get glassy if your powers were on the verge of erupting.

You sat down with a cup of coffee, still quite shaken from the night before. It had been the third time that week that the glass in your bedroom windows had shattered. This time though, your range of destruction had been even farther.

"I'm sorry, Tony," you apologized. "I wish I knew how to make this stop."

"Me, too, (Y/N)," he said warily, looking hesitant to sit next to you at the counter.

You looked down at the counter, embarrassed. You wished your teammates wouldn't look at you as if you would destroy them any moment.

"Hey, Wanda," you said, hopping off of the bar stool. "How did you learn how to control your powers?"

Wanda backed away from you as you approached her. Even Wanda, the one you could probably relate to the most, was afraid of you.

"Did something happen last night that I don't remember?"

Steve looked at you sadly with dark circles under his eyes. "You don't remember?"

You shook your head.

"You force-choked Bucky, (Y/N). There was nothing we could do to stop you."

Your heart fell to your stomach. "What?" you asked, your voice barely above a whisper. "Is he okay?"

Peter nodded. "You passed out, probably from the amount of energy using that amount of power took."

"Thank God. I feel like I keep hurting you guys. I should probably go check on Bucky and --"

"You know, (Y/N), I'm really glad you pointed that out," Tony interrupted, stopping you from leaving the kitchen.

"What?" you asked, confused.

"You do keep hurting people, and you don't know how to control it."

He glanced at Wanda, and you were quickly entangled in her red magic.

"What's going on?"

"I'm sorry, (Y/N)," Steve said, placing handcuffs on your wrists. "The US Government will be holding you in a cell until you can get this all under control."
