Synopsis: Just some more stories with Bucky and Steve :) FYI - lots of time skips.
Bucky held the umbrella over you and Steve's heads, shielding you guys from the rain.
Rest in Peace, Sarah Rogers, the tombstone read.
"At least she's next to dad," Steve sniffled as his lip quivered.
You wrapped one arm around him, attempting to comfort him. Besides, he had done that to you when your mother died last year. It was definitely hard without her, but each day got a little better, especially with Bucky and Steve there to support you. Now, you were there to support Steve.
"Hey," Bucky said, gently placing his hand on Steve's shoulder. "Stark Expo is still going on tonight, if you want to go. It might help distract you."
You gave Bucky a look -- Steve shouldn't be forced to move on quite so quickly. However, Steve nodded his head.
"Maybe I can sign up for the army tonight."
You sighed. "Again? Who are you going to be, Steve from Ohio?"
Steve shrugged and turned away from his mother's tombstone with Bucky on his tail. You were the one to hesitate as a rebellious tear slid down your face. Sarah Rogers was a extremely close friend of yours. When you were orphaned, she didn't hesitate to take you under her wing.
"I'll make sure he doesn't kill himself. I promise," you whispered, knowing that she was somewhere listening to your very voice.

"Bucky, where is Steve? He's missing the levitating car!" you exclaimed, not able to peel your eyes off of the floating car.
You had to admit, today hand't been easy, attending Sarah's burial and all. Stark and his inventions never ceased to bring a smile to your face.
"Signing up for the army," Bucky grumbled.
"What!?" you screamed. "Bucky, it's illegal and he's going to find himself in some serious trouble. Besides, Steve is a great guy and all, but joining the army in his current state..."
"Yeah, yeah. I know. I told him all of that. How about we go buy some popcorn and then we go find Steve?"
You wanted to find Steve first, but Bucky was offering to buy you food, something you enjoyed very much.
"Off to the popcorn stand we go."
~~~~~
"Please don't die, you two. It's amazing how much your presence keeps me sane."
You tried to turn this whole 'going off to war' thing into a joke, something you tended to do in serious situations. But honestly, if these two died, you would have nowhere to go or anyone to talk two. The death of them basically meant the death of you.
"Don't cry, doll," Steve said, wrapping you into a hug. "I never know what to do when a woman cries."
You laughed, but tears still fell from you eyes.
"Don't do anything stupid while I'm gone," Bucky told you.
You smiled. This phrase of Bucky and Steve's used to be just theirs. You never asked to be a part of it -- it was their thing. This was the first time Bucky or Steve told you their common line.
"How can I?" You wiped your tears with your sleeve. "You're taking all the stupid with you."
Bucky gave you a chaste kiss on the forehead. It wasn't because you two were in a romantic relationship, it was because you, Bucky, and Steve were family.
