I felt dizzy. -That was definitely a good sign.
Don't get me wrong, I'm by no means a masochist, but a foggy mind, along with a searing headache, could only mean one thing; I was back.
Groaning, I opened my eyes only to get blinded by the light.
"Shit, it hurts every time" I cried to myself as my body slowly but steadily adjusted to the already well-known surrounding.
But as soon as I was able to regain full consciousness, it felt like a heavy load was lifted from my shoulders.I could finally breathe again.
"Hey, are you okay?"
I blinked. Silly me, I almost forgot what was going to happen next.
It was literally always the same, nothing new, and most importantly, nothing that should surprise me. Pull yourself together, Lucas!Every time I came back I was in the middle of a heated conversation with an old friend of mine that fell silent as soon as my future self got used to the past.
I smiled and shook my head. Of course I was fine, I was actually more than just fine. Because this time I was truly convinced that I was going to make a difference, no matter what.
Nobody could've stopped me from turning my words into action."Don't worry, I feel great, but unfortunately I have to go now," was all I said before heading to the person I needed to see the most.
