"So what do you like about him~?" questioned the blue-haired girl without hesitation, which made my stomach flutter in a certain way.
Why you might ask?
-Simply because I didn't know what awaited me.The sad truth, which I could no longer deny, was that my sanity, which I was desperately trying to hold onto, began to fade.
And, to put it nicely, it was one hell of a scary experience. What if one day I wake up and forget who I am, or worse, who she was?
But back to the topic, I only had a vague idea of what she was likely to say based on spongy memories.
All the information my brain could access was a scene that kept replaying in my head, but ended every time she tried to tell me what I needed to hear. How cruel.
Just what did she think of me again?
What did she see in me?I expectantly held my breath and counted the seconds until Lia finally seemed to know what to say but to my utter dismay she felt like teasing me and whispered the answer softly in Miri's ear, so that it was impossible for me to know what the two were talking about.
All I could do now was try to read from her facial expressions what kind of response she was getting."Hm, I see. That's pretty cute" Miri mumbled with a knowing smirk.
"Do you really think so?"
"Of course. Trust me, I wouldn't lie about something like that" she jokingly defended herself.
"Yah! How long do you guys know eachother? Exactly, since 10 minutes and you're already starting to ignore our existence" wailed Xavier with a heavy groan.
"We're still here, and we need some attention too, especially lover boy over there."
Now I was officially embarrassed.
Why did this guy have to be so shameless?"That's not true!" I screamed mortified, afraid that my friend was going to taint my imagine even further. "I'm actually glad you get along so well."
"Sure you were" Xavier repeated twice in a childish tone.
Now it's gotten to a point where he's just being ridiculous, but that didn't stop him.
"I'm bored ~ what do we do now?"
Oh right it was time to go.
"How about we go to the aquarium?"
