Okay, maybe ignoring all my problems wasn't my best idea, but I needed some alone time and as long as I didn't know how much longer I'd be locked in here, a single day to myself, in which I could clear my mind, wasn't too much to ask for, right?
But whatever, that wasn't the main point of my concern.

I just had to understand why everything suddenly changed and if it was some kind of glitch or a permanent issue I had to deal with.
And another thing that bothered me was the fact that I had to find out what exactly triggered the change.
Was it something I did or am I simply running out of time?

*knock Knock*

"Wow. Just wow. I can't even be depressed without being interrupted" I laughed sarcastically as I pulled myself out of bed.

Whoever dared to disrupt me while I was busy sulking like a child was going to regret ever being born, or at least get a shock from my messy appearance.

But now that I thought about it, it was the first time (since the incident) that I stayed home instead of chasing after Lia like the fool that I am.
And although it was kind of annoying, it was also interesting to get to know a different perspective.

"Stop knocking, I'm not deaf" I said as I opened the door, only to be taken aback.

In front of me was none other than Xavier, said friend whom I had left alone so I could calm myself down.

"Oh-..."

"Shut up and come with me" he ordered, sounding rather out of breath.

Unsure whether or not to actually follow him, I decided that I had nothing else to do so it wouldn't hurt to listen.

"Fuck. I can't believe that it's you. No offense, but you're way too soft for that kind of shit."

"?"

What was he talking about?
Did he perhaps know something about my situation? No, that was impossible.
I mean, how could he know anything about my secret if I never told him and even if I did, there was no way for him to remember.

"Is this really happening right now?" I wondered aloud since I couldn't hide how shocked I was at the turn of events.

"I'll explain it soon enough, but you have to trust me first. You may not believe me, but I can help you."

Xavier wasn't usually like that.
Sure, he always had a bold character and wasn't afraid to do whatever he wanted, but he'd never acted like that before, at least not in front of me.

Something was definitely fishy but then again, his questionable behavior gave me the impression that whatever he was trying to show me had to be extremely serious and that it would for sure affect me more than I can imagine.

"Okay, I'll trust you."

Funnily enough, it seemed like he'd already expected me to react like that, since all he did was to gently pat me on the shoulder with a satisfied grin.

"Good"
